Yet for some reason he spends the next 12 seconds immediately after saying everything he just implied aloud but without adding anything.

Just rewatched this movie and about Magnetos metal balls: I thought of them as some kind of mental exercise he is doing. Like training not to get distracted easily or doing multiple things at the same time. It actually made sense to me in comparison to many other scenes :D

I love HISHE but much of their humor needs you to have watched the referenced scene. Because Pitch Meeting's premise is that the writer has to explain all the setup (since the movie doesn't exist yet) it works well even if you've never seen the movie.

2:48 I think that's easy to explain. The helmet is made of metal so Magneto uses his powers to affix it to his head so not even Sabretooth's strength could pull it off.

@@arthurfisher1857 The main complaint is that it's pretty random. i.e. "Do you know what happens to a dog when it's hit by a train? The same thing that happens to everything else." The original joke is that the toad "croaks" which has an actual punchline. Apparently the main reason was that Toad was supposed to have some one-liners where he says "Do you know what happens when a Toad..." which would have let this make a whole lot more sense.
