Another project from Patrick Spiekmans' book "Fun & Easy Scroll Saw Projects". This one is his celtic cross design. I make a lot of crosses but have sold very few and have not in the past got a lot of views on my cross videos. I have gifted a lot of them and donated them to my family reunion as raffle items and everyone always seemed to like them (were they just being polite?). But I like them and like to make them and I really like this one. The backer is oak and the overlay is a mystery wood. I have a lot of that. Probably ash or aspen.

if you make the flip open stand up pen boxx how can i get a copy of the pattern ??? thanks in advance,, beautiful cross

The only pattern I used was the pen for an outline and the one I found for the lid inlay. A lot of times I just go by the seat of my pants. I ended up with four pieces 6 and 1/4 inches by about 2 inches, the mahogany was 1/4 inch and the maple 1/2 inch.
