What would be needed to delete the idf. Pto cover and drive shaft? I wonder if riva is working on an idf delete kit that includes a 1 piece straight through shaft.

Is there any way the IDF transmission will slip causing the engine RPMs and the Output Shaft RPMs to be different? I have lost 8 mph in speed from brand new, only has around 20 hours on the 2023 Seadoo Switch Sport Compact. Had dealer check everything and they are baffled by the dramatic speed drop I am experiencing. They can't find anything wrong. Thanks much.

@@gregl2409 no it won’t slip. They are all straight cut gears. If they “slip” that means they are stripped and won’t work. Have your RPM gone down?

Do you know an easy way to remove the actual IDF Output Shaft that attaches to the crankshaft? Does oil come out from inside the IDF Output Shaft? I am trying to verify if I can use a torch inside the Output shaft to loosen up the loctite. Thanks

Torch won’t work. Pull the engine and use a 3/4” Milwaukee impact to break it free after you lock the crank shaft at TDC.

How does this "transmission" fail without a single part needing to be replaced? If true, what in the world keeps another failure from occurring? I did not see anything changed from the OEM design.

Watch the video I posted before this one and you will see what failed. I was able to repair it this time. Most of the time they lock up and explode. This time the guy got lucky.

@@SaltyDogPerformance I watched it and you mentioned that you thought the 4 pins sheared off. If you did not replace any parts, then what is to keep this from failing again?
