Thank you so much. I have jars filled glass from the St. Clair River, and Lake Huron, on the northern side, but I have been looking to do some pieces from my daughter who has helped me find it and now I can without much difficulty...you are a saint in disguise

Great video. I have lots of stones & want to use them. This is fantastic for what I have, because they are all different sizes. This is simple and easy, depending on the stone, instructions. Using 2 or 3 wraps really shows more of the pattern in the stone. Thanks 👍👍👍👍👍😀

Please show us how to make this as connecting links for sea, and stained glass chimes. Been searching forever for info nothing out there other than basic pendant wrap. Thanks for this looking forward to my solution
@Potomacbeadco4 жыл бұрын
You could include a wire wrapped loop at each end, linking them before you do the wrap.

great video thanks, have watched and learned from many of your videos, do you think the wire might catch on clothing in the back?
@Potomacbeadco6 жыл бұрын
Hi Donna, if you use your round nose pliers to loop the end of the wire so that it's facing the glass or stone, it should stay in position. However there is also a tool called a "cup bur" which comes in various sizes to suit different gauges of wire. It usually has a wooden handle with a short metal shaft at one end. On the end of that shaft is a tiny cup shape, the inside of which has ridges that act like a file, allowing you to smooth out the end of your wire and eliminate the sharp edge made by the flush cutters. We have one that's 1.8mm available here: www.potomacbeads.com/Round-Your-Wire-Tool-p/7448.htm

Great tutorial! Question though - is there a way to make the bail without tearing off the clear coating on the wire? Maybe make the top loop around the piece more loose? I don't want the wire to tarnish.... Thanks!

I would just make a simple wrapped loop at the top of the sea glass to make the bail. That's how I've done it in the past.

Beautiful! I know you're not a doctor, so I'm not asking for medical advice! But, I get a terrible pain in my left index finger from making pendants. Is there anything I can do to prevent this? (holding things differently or something?) I'm about to use a finger brace and immobilize my finger completely but if there is a better way I would love to know!

You lost me at the bail. It won’t stay on....i suck at this, I cant make through any of these videos, its easy at first then everything goes in hyper mode and I can’t ever catch up even if I rewatch over and over. I not giving up I just need more basic instruction.

I can’t get any wire to stay around the stone either. Not happy with the result, took the whole thing apart.
