Holly I have sailed around Britain and the Med I'm a spineless fair-weather sailor, so I love that you giving me a chance to piggyback you on your home Gecko Breeze as you brave the Southern Oceans seas, Your description of your old sail, plus you having crewed a Traditional Sailing Ship, made my thoughts go back, to our forefathers, and them singing, sea shanties to raise worn-out canvas on worn-out masts, to get them Home, Love that which you do May the winds always blow in your favour,

Brother-In-Law and nephew just arrived in Tahiti after 10 day sail from Picton New Zealand (southern island). Lower part of the mainsail shredded. New main on our boat, here in Maine, made us a race winner. Whoo hoo! Wrapped up for the winter now though.

You gave me goosebumps it’s so nice to have good wind . In the mid-80s with me and my wife will be selling the laser to leave headlight light wind we flip flip it over and sit on the bottom of the boat and have a beer can I wish I was sailing again but I still have a fatty knees will get her in the water this summer lake Roosevelt keeps sailing with that beautiful smile surfing the waves enjoy. ❤All 🌎P.O.E.🌍

New sails are always nice. Jus recently got a boat, came with a new, unused Genoa. Beautiful. The main needed some repairs, done by a loft. Now sets much better and hoists much easier.

What was the biggest difference that you've noticed between the old and new main sail? And has the new main sail made a difference in your travel speed? I noticed that losing all the slack from the old main has stabilized the boat pretty good.

Sounds like your old sail was really worn out. I’m sticking up for North sails a little bit because any new sail is a dream compared to an old worn out sail.

How do u plan your watch schedule? Being a single hander presents challenges and I'm curious whether you alarm wake every 30min orsimilar or simply trust the sea gods to take care of you and the boat while you sleep. Yikes

Just want to say, WOW, you are fearless. I wish I had the opportunity to do what you do. I am sure, that will never happen. Such is life. I am 68 years old, living on a meager S.S. benefit. My sister, whom I have lived with for over 10 years, just passed away a few weeks ago. The house is going to be sold, which means, I have to find someplace to live in the next 2 months. Yeah, bad place to be at my age. But, I put myself here because I spent the good parts of my life taking care of my grandmother, my mom, and my sister until they passed away. There is no one left but me. Grandparents, parents, 2 brothers, my little sister. Could you or Tish send me the name of the music artists that are used, intermittently, in your videos? That music is so soothing, and it would really help me right now.

Thanks for your comment. It sounds like life is really tough right now. I admire your loyalty and dedication to your family. You've got your priorities straight, but that doesn't make it any easier. I wish you all the luck. Good things don't always happen to good people but it will get better. Kylie Daily is one of the artists I really love that I use in my videos. Gordon Bok's album A Rogue's Gallery of Songs is very sailory and always puts me in a calm mood. I also recommend the album The Sea, that Gambler by Gregory Alan Isakov Lots of love

Rally tasker sails I would not consider any else. Wait till you get a full set like me 😊 they're in a league of their own . I sail in ireland . I'd say the 2026 ggr will be rollys to a man or woman. I've seen the old and the new factories in phuket. I'm old and apparently wise when it comes to sail choice anyway. They know their shit.
