That opening clip was the first carrier launch I've seen in a long time. I can't remember the last time I saw a carrier in a match.

@FreeBirb I probably is still that bug, where if there are several planes taking off, the boost only applies to one of them. That's why if one wants to take off from a carrier with other players on it, the best course is to wait until they took off, and THEN start taking off.

Just a tip Tim, this may not be advice that can be applied to how you like to play aircraft, but ADS-ing with the 20mm's really helps with shooting them under 1km. Theyre very accurate guns so they will most likely reach where you intend them to do. Anyways great analysis on the thicc vampire

100% I’ve found zooming in help a lot with higher velocity guns whereas not so much with lower velocity guns

I play differently when I'm playing "for footage" vs when I'm playing "for fun/to win" if you get my meaning. I don't zoom as often "for footage" because its disorienting to look at. Related, sometimes I'll make ACM mistakes on purpose to demonstrate a weakness of the aircraft's flight performance or something, etc etc. It can actually be somewhat frustrating if there is some **specific** thing I want to get footage demonstrating, but opponents won't attack me in the correct way ;-) Sometimes it takes me 2 hours to get 20 seconds of footage.....

The best part about the beginning clip is that it probably wasn't even that guy's fault, it's just the jank way that Gaijin has implemented carriers. If one player tries to take off first but someone else starts their takeoff roll after (and while they're still on the catapult), they lose the boost from the catapult, for... some reason. The best solution is to always wait to take off so you don't get fucked over by this mechanic.

2 points about carrier landings. 1. If the carrier is moving, in any form, make sure to keep your brakes on. This will trick the catipult lauch to thinking you're moving to take off and will throw your damaged aircraft of the ship. 2. In Sim, Carriers take hard evasive manovers if you are trying to land. Despite doing nothing if they are shooting an someone coming to bomb them.

Nice vid, idk how u managed to land in that clip at 6:30. I can see from the video that the malta map has it, im pretty sure it might be on spain. Also have you tried to see if you can spawn on the carrier with it on the normandy ground rb map?

@@timsmithhome Well, tier 2 and 3 are pretty fun. When you face similar stuff... I see the same people over and over and when I play 2.3 - I face 3.3, way more than in tanks and air. And then, I play 3.3, and face 4.3 That is a huge problem, but I still like it now and then. Visually real nice.. Different dynamics 8movement etc) Fun to mine, torp etc.. But I am not sure it would help with views.... ;)
