GASP! These are the ORIGINAL Cunard Sea Goddesses? That elevated my viewing experience. As if the cinematography and 007 Bond voice-over doesn’t already accomplish that. It’s like…hearing Läderach chocolate rather than eating it, if that makes sense. So nice to see these…yachts..are still sailing and being taken care of very nicely, indeed.

We both got quite emotional watching this. We had the most amazing 10 days on Seadream 1 last year & lovely Captain Lund conducted our wedding vow renewal anchored outside Dubrovnik. Thank you for reminding us what a fabulous time we had ❤

Another great video. Love your "no fuss" style of reviews. Everything you need to know without the ridiculous drama. Calm, informative and humorous.....wonderful.

My husband and I LOVE Sea Dream 1. We have spent two weeks the past three Christmases on her. We don't care where she goes, we just want to be on her! Our first week last December, there were 40 passengers! More crew than passengers. It was truly like having our own private yacht. Our glasses were always full, sunglasses always clean, palates deliciously satisfied. We are planning a birthday celebration for December 2025 and taking twelve couples along for the journey. We love Sea Dream that much!

Corinth Canal looks incredible! I have been looking for a cruise that includes it but most in the region do not.

Hi Ricj and Helen once again a marvellous video and sorry about your loss Helen. Interesting when I hear people describe a cruise ship as an old ship. Depends on the condition of course and this is a very old ship, but you would not know it from new except for the lack of balcony cabins it is in superb condition. What would put me off this hip is its extremely low passenger-to-space ratio of only 38.69 which is very tiny. Even such as Voyager of the Seas has a passenger space ratio of 44 and we found that to be far too crowded. The size of the ship does not matter space ratio does matter, I really would have expected a much higher space ratio, take Silver Shadow for instance passenger space ratio is 72.8; nearly twice as much space tai per passenger.

The smaller ship is very intriguing. As usual, Rich’s narration is excellent. 👍

Okay, automatic thumbs up from me, LOVE SeaDream. It will be interesting to see what has changed over the last few years..... I'm 2 seconds in, I am really hoping the service levels are the same as when we were on her.

@@visitwithus Well from what I have seen so far, other than the hard product updates she look great, I am very happy to hear the staff are still at a high standard. I don't remember if I told you about the Bali bed incident on our voyage. I am lucky, put me in a chair and I can fall asleep, the wife is the total opposite, so, I think it was the second night, she decided to go for a walk around while I slept. I found her asleep on a Bali bed, the crew had laid a comforter over her, somehow put a pillow under her head and a female member of the crew keeping watch on her, they also had some chilled juices and a pot of coffee wait for her when she woke up. An outstanding level of service.

These ships has a long and distinguished career as Cunarders! Sea Goddess I and Sea Goddess II were as “Cunard” in 1990 as Queen Anne is today. Strange to think, isn’t it.

SeaDream I is 4253 Gross Tons, almost exactly the same as Prinzessin Victoria Luise, the first cruise ship, at 4,409 Gross Tons. Both SeaDream1 and SeaDream 2 are legally registered as passenger ships, not as yachts or pleasure craft. Passenger Ship is the classification that cruise ships are under.

How does this ship compared with other small ship brands such as Windstar?
@visitwithus7 күн бұрын
@@aimeerogers4542 Great question! We should do a video about that. Short answer - Seadream is smaller. Older ships are comparable to Windstar in the quality of care with their interiors and staff. 😊

We sailed on her during the pandemic on a Norwegian Fjords cruise, all passengers were Norwegian citizens and /or expats. It was fantastic like described. Even though this is really a warm weather ship and not 100% suitable for the colder Northern European climates.
@visitwithus7 күн бұрын
Agree with you about the ship being set up for warm weather. The whole focus is on al fresco dining and open deck relaxation. 😊
@CptArgy4 күн бұрын
Yes it is a cruise ship. There is no comparison between what Seadream and other cruise companies nowadays do and yachting. I am talking as a professional worked in both industries.

So, to clarify, was this cruise review based on a free cruise invitation by SeaDream?
@visitwithus7 күн бұрын
It doesn't need clarifying, we fully disclose in the description and we even say in the first few seconds of the video. We were invited, yes. Many people get invited for reviews - journalists, travel bloggers, cruise KZbinrs. Not all disclose. We do. Hope this helps.
@wayneschmidt7 күн бұрын
@ Thanks for clarifying. The first videos I watched on your channel seemed more authentic, but some people might miss the wording ‘invited’.
@visitwithus7 күн бұрын
@ We believe all our videos are authentic, whether invited or not. You’ll find MOST of the ultra luxury, expedition and expensive cruising content on KZbin is the result of some form of journalism or invite. It’s the only way most creators get to experience these ships. We always say what we like and what we don’t like but we don’t make a huge fuss. That’s not our style. 🙂
@wayneschmidt7 күн бұрын
@@visitwithus I think the issue is disclosure. Plenty of channels pay their own way. Newspapers disclose at the bottom of the article if it is a paid advertorial. Others do pay their own way @tipsfortraveller @Cruisewith @WalkWithMe @tfft @JoshCahill
