I have the seakeeper on my 2024 Sportsman 232 and I will never own a boat without it. The ride is absolutely amazing. I can hit washing machine waves in the ocean and the bow stays level. My old boat with trim tabs would break your back and neck in the same conditions, and the speeds with the seakeeper increases. If you can afford it, get it!!!!

@RichardNoggin-iw7shАй бұрын
One of the advertised damping affects is in the yaw or Y axis, and our jet boats do get a fair amount of yaw induced by sea conditions. The Seakeeper Ride definitely lessened the amount of steering inputs you had to make was greatly reduced with the system on. This would be a huge in terms of operator fatigue.

The Seakeeper ride 450 is on my Heritage 231 and I just took delivery of the Yamaha 255FSH H over the weekend. I ran the 255FSH Saturday and Sunday and there is roll and steering identical to this video. My Heritage 231 with the SC rides a lot better. I'll be adding the SeaKeeper to my 255FSH, I am a believer in the product, big difference. Thanks

Brilliant. Would love to see you guys put the Seakeeper (the center gyro) on a FSH. Super $$$, but the products these guys put out look amazing. I’d almost call the Ride a must have on the FSH. I’ve got the same hull on the 255 wake and I love it, but I didn’t buy the FSH for saltwater because it’s a little light and the slope of the bow looks like you could stuff it. The Ride has me rethinking it.

Will this fit on a Yamaha 222XE with the integrated wake boosters? I saw that the Kyma K7 actually uses seakeeper as part of it surf system instead of any other type of wedge/tab/gate. Have you tried using seakeeper ride while surfing instead of Yamaha's wake booster (either the integrated or the clip on one)?
@JetBoatPilot2 ай бұрын
Will not fit with integrated booster models. We never tested to see if it helps the surf wave. It's very likely that it will help but have not been able to validate that on a Yamaha
@YourAubsomeАй бұрын
@@JetBoatPilot thank you. I just successfully wake surfed behind my Scarab 165 ID (300 HP) lol. It only took 600 lbs of lead and it worked. I'm trying to get seakeeper installed on it but its a custom job because of the hull. Still looking at getting a Yamaha 222 but might have to go with no wake booster and get seakeeper ride installed instead.

I believe this system works great on 22-24 degree bottoms that are tippy. Take a boat like a 23 or 27 Albury Brothers with its less variable degree bottom really would not benefit. Those boats really don't even need tabs and trim on the motor 80% of the time is all that is needed. Correct me if I am wrong. I own both a 24 degree bottom boat and will be picking up another Albury.

Its working great with our Helm Master equipped FSH. That is the same system as Drive X. Where you'll run into issues is with the integrate wake booster on the X models.

Great video. Very interesting product. Question, would this serve a dual purpose that would include acting somewhat as a trim tab?
@JetBoatPilot8 ай бұрын
Yes it keeps the boat at an optimal pitch and roll angle at all times in auto but van also be run in manual configuration and you can do some really interesting things.
@rmpackaging8 ай бұрын
Do you program the zero pitch and roll with the boat on the trailer. How do you determine zero pitch? What could you measure to determine level at rest?
@JetBoatPilot8 ай бұрын
The system does it for you during the commissioning segment of the installation process. It's best to do that step in the water while sitting still with no movement.
@rmpackaging8 ай бұрын
Thanks for the quick reply. I'm just wrapping up my DYI install in Baja. We don't have a harbor here at all, so flat motion free water is pretty rare. At this point I have just stood back and leveled the trailer and boat to what looks like a zero pitch and commissioned it. Going to put her in the water today! Really excited to see how it performs. Also, your install video was very helpful. I referenced it throughout my install. Thanks for taking the time to put that together. If my situation was different and I could have taken the boat to have the system installed, I would have for sure.

@JetBoatPilot4 ай бұрын
@shannonkelly4071 we're trying to get that answer now. Some are attempting to put a 450 on a 275. Not sure it will work though because of the extreme angle of the fiberglass in the mount zone. Would likely need lots of fiberglass work to make it viable.

How does it actually work? Thanks
@JetBoatPilot8 ай бұрын
It has an accelerometer inside the console area that is programmed at rest for zero pitch and zero roll. When the boat is above 20mph the system simply maintains that same zero degree angle using the electronic actuators on the left and right of the boat. The actuators control the blades which create life when deployed. The system measures pitch and roll 1000 times per second and can adjust 100 times per second. It's super effective and a total game changer for Boaters in this category!
@nickrdgz93234 ай бұрын
How are those different than the Zipwake ones?
@JetBoatPilot4 ай бұрын
The zip wake cannot deploy its tabs fast enough to manage pitch and roll in real time. The Seakeeper deploys it's blades full up to full down in a fraction of a second so it can actively manage pitch and roll without lag. It's much more effective than any other tab system.

@JetBoatPilot6 ай бұрын
Seakeeper Ride is truly a real time ride stabilizer. Actuates from full up to full down in a fraction of a second so the goal of real time ride stabilization is accomplished by its speed. The zip wake is an automatic system but can't deploy and retract fast enough to deliver the same benefits. Hands down the Seakeeper is superior.
