love watching your videos . its like watching my self work . 1 thing i am starting to notice in my past jobs that have now come around again for there next coat is this ..... once in the sealer stay in the sealer . wet foot prints will flash and even if you cover over they show up later as it wears off . also like you did in the beginning with brushing out on the driveway that also shows up later as it wears . in the last 4 seasons now starting my 5th on my own i can say i have picked up a lot from looking back at my old jobs as they age out and also videos from you guys . 1 big thing i am going to be doing this off season is a pump / hose real / wand to stop us from having to use buckets as we are not getting any younger . . . keep up the good work and stay safe out there . fyi we should team up some day as we are only 4hrs north east of you over the pa/ny line . it would be fun to do a job and not say a word as we do it about 100% the same way .

How much of the seal coating liquid do you use in a week? Is it expensive? Do you mix it yourself? How much can your container on your truck hold? How long does a filled container on the truck last? 2 days? 3? Thanks 👍🏾❤💯
@SEALCOATINGISLIFE Жыл бұрын
In 5 days well go through about 1,000 gallons. Expensive is a relative term. We do mix it ourselves by adding sand and water. The truck holds 550 gallons. But we never fill to the brim. We can get 2 days of work out of a full truck.

Great job, as always, Gregory. I have two questions: 1) What do you guys do when you have to use the bathroom, and you're on a big job; and 2) How do you come up with some of these funny video names? Oops - one more. Is it possible for the clips you use as Stories on Instagram be saved as shorts here on KZbin? I'd love to be able to watch them again after they've left Stories. Thanks for another awesome video.

I use solo cups for the bathroom. Ive gotten pretty good at being inconspicuous during the process. For the pother one I will only do at home, (either before of after work). Frying Dragon is from the movie "Sidekicks" that I was watching while I was editing this. I have all this clips saved on my phone. I'll try and do something with them over the winter. I just had to transfer 4,000 sealing clips to a separate external hard drive. I have so many. 😂

God bless you guys that have to work out in this heat! If the heat up there is anything close to what it’s like here in Texas, I don’t know how you survive. Which brings me to my question, is it ever too hot to use the product? Can you put seal on really hot asphalt? Can the heat actually cause it to dry too quickly?
@SEALCOATINGISLIFE Жыл бұрын
Great question. Yes, for me it gets too hot after 1pm. We will never work past 1pm. And on extremely hot days, we’re not working past 12pm. In extreme heat, the sealer dries before it can be properly worked into the asphalt and before we can remove the footprint and lines. That’s how it goes for me, anyway. ☀️

I like to do quality work and would like to know where you buy your supplies...Wire brushes? If you have a video that references this, would you please link it for me under this comment. What is your sand/sealer ratio? What are your thoughts about additives? I use the pave gel from sealmaster. I love the idea of additives in my sealer for a nice quality look and wear! Interested in what additives you might use if any. Looking forward to your reply.🎉

@@SEALCOATINGISLIFE25 cents bro? Fr? Thats hella cheap tbh not knocking you but you do great work you can charge alot more than that. Here in CA everyone is in the 50-80 cent range sometimes even a dollar depending on the job. I just a sealed a 14,000 sqft parking lot for $13,500. Of course not everyone does some guys go way cheap to steal work from out under other guys. Which sometimes ruins neighborhoods where we had good profiting prices. Your price is your price i know homeowners are penny pinchers sometimes and you gotta do what you gotta do. But your work is clearly worth more than 25 cents a sqft.
