It boggles my mind that they wouldn't include instructions for something this complicated. I probably would have given up half way though; you have a lot more patience than I do! The finished product does look amazing though

There are instructions, with pictures but I will admit they are very confusing. I couldn't get mine to work and did, indeed, give up.

I TOTALLY agree with “treatstrinkets”, Sea Lemon!! Your patience and persistence is commendable, as is the results thereof!!

You deserve some kind of award for having the patience to make this! And they really need to provide proper instructions for people to use.

Jennifer, this is such a lovely card and I am really excited that the dragon was picked and made as it was quite complex. But to have no instructions about how to attach it to the card is a bit odd, but you did it. Thank you for showing this.

I think if you fold the yellow flap towards the top of the card, it wouldn't show in the front. But hey, really nice job ☺️
@nessagirl19113 жыл бұрын
If you make this card again you could try to fold that yellow tab that shows through the dragon cutout in the other direction. It looks like that might work spacewise, I don't know if it would affect the pop-up feature in any way.

Good idea!

OR … FIRST glue another piece of cardstock behind that cutout dragon shape of the front. THEN then yellow tab won’t be able to show through. Btw, you did a right FAB job with this project, regardless!!

This reminds me of kirigami, which I found a book on in the library when I was a teen, lots of fun. Oh, and I think if you made two slits in the white paper for the circular base to slip into it would retain it while permitting the necessary movement.

I love pop up things. You did a great job. I've been watching a woman do bujo and she's been doing pop up themes for over a year now. She explains really well though.

Too cute! The dragon would look so precious on the birthday cake too! Now that you’ve made one you can design a better one!

You need the spatula tool in the accessory kit to lift off tiny pieces. Also a zig two way glue pen or a fine tip applicator bottle for Pva is good.

I have the spatula tool (metal end) but the edge of it is sharp, which scraped the adhesive layer off my mat :( I could file the end to fix it.

Hello Jennifer! I'm watching your bookbinding tutorials for a few years now and I'm having a hard time thinking which would be the best binding for a particular book: it will be about 63 light/medium thickness paper, and I want it to lay flat. I'm ok with having to sew each page individually but I don't want it to be bulky (the number of pages worry me a bit). What could I do? Maybe thus could be a video idea for you. A guide to choose bookbinding methods, based on paper thickness, lay flat or not and signatures vs. single sheet binding. I'll keep researching here. Thanks!

The base is meant to be glued - the instructions are confusing but when it says - slide tabs through base and then glue in place, it means the whole base. The instructions really need a rework.
