Hummingbird and Diamond Girl are my absolute favorites from Seals and Croft

with their intricate mixture of chord changes, total mastery over their instruments and perfect harmony, Seals and Crofts represented a high mode of music making that will seldom be seen today.

R.I.P. Seals.😔 This group was part of my childhood. This is my favorite song of theirs. Reminds me of my grandmother because we both watched hummingbirds at her house when this song was released.

It continually amazes me that so many hit songs of the Aquarian Age are not only so well written & played and drip with authenticity but have such deep spiritual messages. That sorely missing from much of today's music. What a performance. Thank you so much for posting this.

just an amazing composition. the intro & outro are incredible. very few "pop" tunes approach this level of sophistication. obviously a flawless performance. incredible vocal harmony and the 3 of them sound like a mini-orchestra. nothing but superlatives.

My Lord what a flawless live performance of this song! The studio version is produced with so many lush strings and such a warm sounding mix of instrumentation. I saw this video here wondering how they could possibly do it live this stripped down. Wow! I didn't even miss the recording! So beautifully done! 🎤🎸🎼🎶🎵🎶❤️

The arrangements on the studio verson are so perfectly done, when I saw the beginning of this clip, I was disappointed that it wasn't a full band----but holy cow, I didn't miss any of that----this was incredible. Amazing harmony and rich, full sound from what appears to be a trio.

Had the opportunity of seeing them twice. First, as an opening act at the Filmore East. Was so impressed by their talent made sure to get tickets for a show they did at Princeron Universiry. Their harmony and laid back style borders on perfection. Sadly, their career was short lived.

A beautiful song. Expertly performed. I always thought it was kind of creepy though. Even as a kid when I first heard it. I think there are a few reasons but "I love you and I don't even know the reason why." didn't make sense to me then... or now.
