Seam welding & cage mounts in a Miata race chassis

Do you go back and seam seal the areas you welded up?

No. Seam seal bonds two panels together as a sandwich better than as a “filler” after the fact.

@@halalmeatshophk So this chassis will be getting completely powdercoated. No need to reinstall seam sealer in an open top race car. The powdercoat will take care of making sure the chassis won't rust.
