It is really interesting watching Sean Lock after a comment Harry Hill made on the Great Conversation podcast. He said that if Sean Lock didn't like you as a comedian he would never laugh at your attempts at humour. He asked Sean why he didn't laugh and said that it was being rather mean to those people, and Sean brushed it other. Harry said that Sean could be quite mean in that regard and basically had contempt for some comedians. A side of Sean that I never knew existed. Now that I have that knowledge it is something that I can see on the screen.
@SanctuaryADO6 ай бұрын
Nothing wrong with not faking a laugh at something you don't actually find funny. Arguably giving a comedian a pity laugh for a weak joke is more of an insult from a master of the craft. Sean was a brilliant wit and everybody has described him as a comedian's comedian. Arguably you could even see such an attitude as a means of guiding performers to better performances. We won't ever know for sure without a ouija board though I suppose.
@kingy0026 ай бұрын
@@SanctuaryADO Harry was his friend and challenged Sean about this behaviour. If you listen to Harry he said that Sean could be quite brutal about it. Not just on the show, but off air as well. I'm a massive fan of Sean's. It is just that this is another side of him that a close friend has highlighted, that I didn't know about.
