That knockout was more of Alex's cockiness rather than Izzy's masterclass. Poatan became way too comfortable coming forward without caring for Counter Strike, Strickland is just defensively so sound so Counter strikes ain't working on him. @@Itscomplicatedaf24 I agree Poatan should’ve won, but just him knocking Poatan out made Izzy bigger than ever. Did you see how nervous Sean was before the fight? He was getting in there with the guy that has run through the division and who just knocked out cold the guy who knocked Sean out cold! That itself makes Sean’s flawless performance all the more badass💪

I think a Whittaker/Adesanya rematch is a great idea. Both coming off high-level losses in the title circle. Now that Rob's seen the gameplan to beat Izzy, I think he can do it. And the biggest obstacle to Rob getting a title shot has been those losses to Izzy. Let Du Plessis get the next shot cos he earned it, while Whittaker and Izzy fight for the one after that. If Chimaev beats Costa, he needs at least one more before he can really be said to deserve a title shot anyway.

Rob, you should play the Gilbert burns and take on Bo nickal. You say the top 5 is the direction of the title directly after Sean gets a title shot from beating an unranked Russian with lots of hype. If you derail Bo it would put you right back in there plus it would be a good look cause you’d be willing to fight the up and coming guy instead of just sitting on your rank and only fighting guys you’ve either already fought or waiting around.

Strickland put one of the best if not the best defensive striking performance in a title fight. Izzy just coudnt hit him and he was visibly confused and in that final half of the 5th round he kind of just accepted his fate and that it wasnt gonna be his night. And sean was great at landing his jab and punches but not getting greedy even at times when you thought he could of maybe stepped onit he knew that was dangerous so he just kept the same rhythm and got it done

He also just beat the ever living shit out of him.. it wasn’t just defense… Izzy can not box. Sorry I have said this for years, and people didn’t believe me. I told everyone jake paul would beat Izzy in a pure boxing match, and he would. No one believes me still

I get why Rob's pissed about Jujutsu Kaisen but this next arc is literally the best in the series he'd be mad to miss it. Also I like how Rob likes the weird stuff but a few weeks ago he didn't like the relationship between the brother and sister and Demon Slayer cause he thought it was creepy lol

Rob should fight whoever the UFC give him and stay ready like Strikland did even after ketting KO'd. It's gonna take 3 Ws consecutive or 2 Ws and a title fight falling apart for Rob to get to the title.

Rob’s path to the title: I truly believe that if Rob beats any 2 guys in the top 15, he will be getting a title shot because that way he will have momentum on his side, and he already has the name and popularity🔥

Disagreed about two top 15. I believe a 10 and a 5 might get him a title shot if there's no one else available. If not, he needs two top 5s.

Great breakdown! The reporters and Dana making excuses for Izzy makes me sick. Fact is that Sean is that good! I’ve always loved watching him fight🥲 I never got why people called his fights boring. Guys who hug on the cage or stay on the outside might be boring (like Adesanya). Strickland is always in the pocket and his defence is just beautiful to watch. There’s nothing better than watching a well executed Philly Shell❤ This is the happiest I’ve ever been for a fighter. Sean Strickland is the Champ of the UFC!! And more importantly, he’s the MAN of the UFC!!🔥💪

Me personally I think Rob should fight Costa regardless if he loses to or beats Chimaev. If Costa wins then Rob can face him and beating the guy who beat Khamzat is huge. If Khamzat wins though, he'd probably get the title shot or Izzy because he's such a big name and Rob fighting Costa even then is still good because he's one of the highest ranked contenders Rob hasn't fought. He could still try fight Khamzat though if he beats Costa or Jared since he's around the title picture as he weighed in as a backup.

Has Sean maybe written the rulebook to beat Adesanya? everyone knew the rough idea behind the maths but Sean put it into practice. look at Max, Poirier showed the maths to beat Max (smother his ass so he cant find his flow) and Volk absolutely shut him down because of it, maybe Sean has written the book on how to neuter Adesanyas magic. Jan outlasted him a weight above him so that kinda has an excuse behind it. and Alex straight up KOd him so that kinda is excusable too.. but Sean shut him down from the first horn to the last one.

21:50 Fight 1-2 lower ranked guys then demand & wait out for title shot. Unless you want to do a Cannonier rematch (which I recommend against because its in his interest to wait it out (was the weigh in backup)) I would suggest fighting down. Take on Roman Dolidze & Jack Hermansson (both) to prove you have grappling defense then rely on yourself being a big name and wait out for a title shot (like Luke Rockhold vs David Branch before he got to fight you but ended up fighting Yoel Romero) You could also do Paulo Costa but I advise against this because he's about to fight Kamzhat and you want to avoid being viewed as getting his sloppy seconds. Fight 1-2 lower ranked guys then demand & wait out for title shot.
