I feel like the real worst robberies I've ever seen get almost no attention online whatsoever and everybody forgets about them but heaven forbid a fan favorite loses a RAZOR CLOSE decision. The fact that almost all of the online world is SCREAMING that this was a robbery is crazy. This was arguably one of the closest title fights of all time. But Strickland fans are acting like Dricus did nothing but takedowns despite landing more or just shy of Strickland's significant strikes in rounds 2, 3 and 4. Strickland's shots where MAJORITY jabs, but Du Plessis despite landing slightly less, was landing HARD body kicks and glancing with some power shots/headkicks/low kicks. Extremely close. Going to have to rewatch rounds 2 and 3 before I can come to a conclusion.

Rounds 2-4 were pretty even in strikes, but DDP landed takedowns and rocked Sean, when Sean had to grab for a clinch. That one strike alone means DDP won that round.

Ehhhh only 1 and maybe 5 were clearly Sean.. the others could have gone either way. I will say this though, if the champ had been anyone but Strickland, they would have given the decision to the champ. If Sean had been Adesanya and the fight was the exact same, it 100% would have went in adesanyas favor. Everything Sean says is just a bad look for the ufc (even though I agree with the majority of what he says) but for the organization and having someone with those strong of values and the wild things he says, he’s the last person they want promoting the ufc and being champ 🤣. Overall it was a pretty boring fight though. Bunch of little jabs and missed shots, which is why I bet it to go to decision. Figured Sean rarely KOs anyone and his defense is so good I didnt see him getting KOd.

1, 2, 3 and 5 for Strickland. Dricus was hitting air or grazing shots all night, while Sean was connecting clean with the majority of his strikes. But i will say, Sean still should've been much more aggressive and laid down the gas sooner than 5. Still, Sean was obviously the cleaner striker, much better defensively and Dricus did nothing with the takedowns. Sean was always instantly back on his feet. Sean was really good defensively all night. Dricus was active, but just wasn't doing much damage, other than the headbutt that led to the big cut on the left eye, where Dricus entire face was busted up/swollen.

I think there is an idea that because dricus was pushing Sean back so that means he’s winning the fight. Other than round 4 it felt like Sean was dodging most of the punches and hiding behind his shoulder to let his overhand hit his shoulder. Rounds 1,2,3,5 are Sean’s after rewatching it and I thought it was 2-2 before the last round origionally. It just doesn’t feel like DDP did enough to slay the dragon.
