Never apologize for prioritizing cost with comparable performance, I’m sorry for anyone who has ever gave you a hard time due to it, absolutely unacceptable. I got into archery as a hunting alternative for residential hunting, I personally adore Sanlida (got two recurves and the dragon x8 now) for having reasonably priced, extremely high performance bows. Never apologize for protecting your viewers wallets.

Don't sweat it, Gold Tip arrows are made in Mexico. The only arrows made in USA are Easton as far as I know. Gold Tip are my favorite arrows by far. I will have to try these Sanlida arrows though...

Hey Sean do you know if the knocks are super glued or hot melted in? i guess you could cut past the knock if it is but i use lighted knocks to offset for high foc and etc. I wish you could just get raw shafts because i build my own thanks again!!!!
@seansoutdoors3 ай бұрын
They seem super glued in because I tried heating them up and pulling them out but it didn’t work. I just cut them off instead
@lustenaderj8 ай бұрын
I bought a package of the Dragon 10 in 350 spine to try out. The arrows themselves seem great, but the pin nocks are flat out dangerous and Sanlida needs to address them. After a single shot, the tabs on the nocks flare out and no longer grip the string. This is just begging for a dry fire. Amazon reviews say I am not alone with this. If you like the Dragon 10 for the straightness and the vanes, plan on either putting a better nock on the pin or using a standard type nock to replace it entirely.
@seansoutdoors8 ай бұрын
I told them to change it the second that I saw it the first time. It took some follow up but I talked them into it. They are no longer going to ship the arrows to the USA with those pin nocks. I told them to just use regular nocks so guys could easily swap them out for light up nocks for hunting but I’m not sure what they will do. They may mimic gold tips bushing and thinner diameter nock. I don’t know.

@@seansoutdoors Thanks, Sean! I'm glad they're doing the right thing. I sent them an email with pictures and measurements right after posting my initial comment, sounds like they were already on it.

Another informative video that helped someone new and learning. That being said I have a 27" draw and Dragons arrows are a bit long. Should I go with a different brand to get a shorter arrow or do I buy a cutter and cut them down myself? Thanks again.
@seansoutdoors9 ай бұрын
All arrows will come full length and will need to be cut to size. It is best if you have a pro shop nearby that could cut them for you.

Sean, really enjoy your programs, question. do you align the broad head with the fletching? I shot a n overdraw on my Predatopr Jennings bow, 26 1/2 " arrows, have been told to align the fixed head with fletch. I resuddenly got an Sanlida dragon 8, waiting for good weather.. GOD BLESS keep them coming..
@seansoutdoors10 ай бұрын
I've tried it with aligning and not aligning and my arrows flew the same but you may want to experiment with your setup to see how it behaved under both circumstances

Thanks for this review it’s so helpful. Can you please help me on figuring out what spines do i need I can’t find a chart on their websites neither amazon. I shoot 65# and 70#
@seansoutdoors2 ай бұрын
They used to have charts on there. It will also depend on the type of cam, tip weight, and arrow length. However, at 65 or 70 pounds with 100 grain tip you will often be at a spine of around 300 or 340.

It's currently the same price to buy 2 dozen Gold Tip pin nock bushings and pin nocks as it is to buy the 2-dozen pack of complete Dragon 10 arrows. Seems like a pretty easy choice. Even if you only want the pin nocks, get the Dragons and get 24 backup shafts FREE.

Spine consistency testing is ok but you should have spun those arrows to check how consistent the straightness of each batch of arrows. Also a durability test would have been helpful

so would the left helical shoot different out of a Hoyt or Mathews or similar bows compared to a 1 or 2 degree right helical fletched arrow?
@seansoutdoors10 ай бұрын
I have done testing on that this year and the hours still hit the same. It is just not optimal. I also tested it with mechanical broadheads and they still hit the same, but I have not tested it with fixed blade broadheads.

So are the sanlida dragon 10s ANY standard size inside? So that one could get different weight length inserts ect? Can the Sandila Dragon 10 Bow, Cam be tuned with spacers for center?

@seansoutdoors thanks for always answering I'm worried about this and they messaged me and told me they were out of their large cam ( I'm 31.5") models.... The arrow review is awesome $300 plus field points for the gold tip vs $79...even if you took then to a shop to check straightness ect you can choose a golden group.... Thanks SO much I wish they would send you that drop away rest they have on their website now... In thinking dragon 10, on 31.5 with a drop away decent offset dual stabilizer like you and good sight....I priced out a life ( or alpha X 33) 2600 out the door...naw

@marcperrone8355Ай бұрын
They leave the fletch foward so you can cut the micro insert off and use a standard nock
@seansoutdoorsАй бұрын
That’s not actually their reason. Additionally, I told them to get rid of those nocks and use regular ones and shorter fletching and they finally did it. They no longer make the arrows this way.

@michaelpoplawski324610 ай бұрын
While the Gold Tip headquarters are in America, the shafts have been manufactured in Mexico for over a decade. Gold Tip makes durable arrows, but I think it's a mistake to characterize Gold Tip as a "made in America" product like Easton.
