I rode that seaplane service between Vancouver and Victoria in 1990. What a memory!

@KokowaSarunoKuniDesu, thanks for stopping by, the front row seat is always reserved for you. I have a few videos posted of the entire journey Victoria to Vancouver and Vancouver to Victoria in an Otter. I was fortunate to record the journeys from the right seat. I am truly grateful you've shared a great memory of these amazing seaplanes. I sincerely thank you for your kind words, engagement and support, thank you. Best....Corrie

@robertwoodwardwoodward247, thanks Robert, I am truly grateful for your kind words and support. To watch the Victoria Harbour in action is favourite past time. The shipyard is fascinating, the bridge going up and down is pretty cool, the seaplanes are my favourite and the hustle and bustle of the water taxis is so much fun. On the other side of the harbour is the cruise ship port, and the helli port, that is pretty awesome too. Needless to say, I'm never bored. Victoria is beautiful. Best....Corrie

I enjoyed My time I spent in Victoria a few Years ago & was down at the Harbour many times as there was so much to see and do there in comparison to Prince George. There used to be a seaplane base here but was shut down & I used to watch the planes a lot taking off & landing when I was Younger. Back in the 80's I managed to get My first ride on a float plane & it happened to be a twin otter. What a trill that was!!

@KensHobbies409, Ken, I'm grateful you've come to the lounge. The front row seat is reserved for you. The harbour is my favourite past time and the sound of a seaplane can stop me in my tracks. That's unfortunate that the seaplane base in P. G. was shut down, I can well imagine it was a favourite past time for you. That's awesome that your first seaplane flight was in a Twin Otter! My first flight in a Twin Otter this past January, the video would have been awesome! I forgot to hit the record button on landing, oh well, another time. Thanks for your kind words, engagement and support, I am sincerely grateful. Best...Corrie

HI Corrie WDha a nice Breezzzy Day!! Good news..I got a job offer in Seattle. So we might be neighbors soon. Im gonna visit Victoria for a food tour!!

@redleader, Congratulations Damon! That's amazing! The Pacific Northwest is a spectacular place to call home. Expensive to live, it's a lifestyle like no where else. There's lots of great seaplane spotting there too. Oh, I'd do a great Victoria Food tour, and try new places too. There are many different ways to get from Seattle to Victoria. Yes, it was a breezy day on the harbour, my favourite kind of day. Hope all is well. Thanks for stopping by, always grateful for your engagement and support. Best...Corrie

The way the Kenmore Otter hopped into the air I guess it had little or no load. I noticed that the push to get them "on the step" was much more obvious than usual. I guess that was because of the wind conditions.

@mothmagic1, thanks Ian, I am truly grateful for your always kind words and support. The past few times I've recorded in Victoria, it's been pretty windy. I'm sure the passengers don't love the wind, but it makes for great filming conditions. Best...Corrie

Same thoughts, thought it was close to an empty load. It's a great way to go to Seattle, if anyone gets the chance.

@mothmagic1 @als1023, funny you mention it's a great way to get to Seattle, Kenmore Air is how I plan to go next time to Seattle. I spent a few hours at the harbour today, it was really windy. It was so windy, a Kenmore Air Otter on final, touched one pontoon on the water, didn't like how it felt, full throttle forward and aborted the landing. I understand why he did what he did. Flew around the harbour and landed without incident. I will post that video soon. Thanks for visiting the lounge, always grateful for your kind words and support. Best...Corrie
