So beautiful. We are honored that you wanted to share your place of solace with us. You could have someone wire wrap a piece of fossil wood to make a pendant for you as a remembrance of your healing spot.

I have a Blue too, a beautiful new to me blue Subaru Outback :) Even my license plate says Bloo. What a beautiful area you're in! It's so nice to get away from home and go somewhere else. I used to camp in a tent, but it's been too many years since I've done that.

Utah is a magnificent State for sure. So much breathtaking vistas. Your Toy Hauler is super cool. We have one also but nowhere as luxurious as yours. We have ours mostly to "bug-out" during fire season. Here in Norhtern Arizona, we have beautiful regions as well. We live on the Mogollon Rim, not far from Petrified Forest and the painted desert. Magnificent places on God's glorious world.

LOVED going along with you on your quest! If you ever find your special spot, please let us know! 😮 Y’all’s jaunts take me back to family trips like to Zion National Park area, “bumbleberry” pie, and a white momma fox protecting her young. Once, as we were driving through at night, we saw the huge cliffs against the night sky and decided to stay and see it in the day because we knew it had to be beautiful. It did not disappoint! Thank you two for all your videos. ❤❤

Yes, we are already close to freezing temps here at the house, which is why we have to get our trailer winterized, but that won't stop us from riding Blue around here or taking day trips in my truck or Jim's car. Just no more trailer trips until next spring.

Such beautiful scenery! Very much worth getting "helmet hair" for. I dont know if I could venture too close to the edge either. Just watching the ride made me a little nervous.😊 Thanks for taking us along on your day trip. Blue did a great job getting you there and back safely. I'm sorry that you didn't find your special place. Maybe it served its purpose ... you no longer need it and another place is waiting.for you to discover it when you are in need of it. ❤

Thanks for sharing your sojourn. I know what you mean about not being able to return. In the 1970s I had traveled around Spirit Lake a few times. And then of course the mountain blew in 1980. 21 years later I was finally able to return and hike down to the shore of Spirit Lake once more. Talk about massive changes! But even if the volcano had never erupted, the lake would not have been the same so many decades later. Just shows us that change is the only real constant here on earth.

Pam and Jim: The scenery is beautiful. Pam next time bring a long mountain climbing rope and harness and tie him to the nearest strong tree so if the edge gives way he will be protected. Mountain climbing ropes are lightweight and not bulky, but are very strong. Another worthwhile video, keep up the good work.

I'm with you Pam, I get very uncomfortable being close to the edge of a high drop off. In fact, I could barely watch those parts of the video, I had to fast forward! 😂 I hope to get to that part of the country some day. We almost got there one year on our way home from a road trip, but alas, a springtime blizzard in the area thwarted our plans. We had to detour and head home, we didn't have time to wait. I loved your video ... a beacon of hope & tranquility amidst a global ocean of turmoil and uncertainty. Just a thought, have you considered using a drone to find your 'place of refuge'? Even if it has sadly been washed away by the rain now, you would still be rewarded with some spectacular aerial video footage. For what it's worth, my stomach flipped over just watching the video footage of Jim on the precipice. 🤣 Enjoy your adventures ... I hope you will have many more to come. 🥰

I don't remember which video I was watching on Matt's off road recovery, but they were going out to rescue a vehicle on the " flying monkey" they described about the ejection testing. On the way they stopped at a overhang and went in and commented on a petrified log near the top. From what you said I think that could have been your secret place. I wish I knew which video it is.😢
