I won't scrimp any word to praise the technique you apply in this short film. The tones, the transition and the rhythm of video coordinate to the bgm are so comfortable and smooth. But frankly, this kind of high quality filming can't be appraciated by the most, not because your hard work is meaningless but because normal people haven't reach the appreciation level. By the way, I'm glad that you display the greenry and moist beauty of south China through your journey. Hope in the future you can witness the desolate and cosmic grandeur of northern China.

hahaha yeah we did find it and good spot it's in 'Thank you, China'. Actually you see it earlier in this film as well as it fades into the note before Yangshuo. It was more to highlight that most people head to Yangshuo but this isn't where it is. I'm pleased you liked it :)

Great video. My favorite places to go. Of the many places I been, the mountains are like paintings. But of the 51 times I been to China, I got picked pocket twice. Lost a phone and money. Nanning is also beautiful. The Detian waterfall is amazing.

It is such a beautiful area! Out of 51 times I think that is pretty good odds. I have also been pick pocketed here once but it is very rare for these things to happen. When we were in South America we got pick pocketed in every country we went to unfortunately, but I would still go back.

I recommend you go to Xijiang province when you free. The mountains, lakes, desert are quite different from those in east China and far more magnificent. Also, the food there is awesome.

Nico, I'm recommending you to pay a visit to a lake named Dongjianghu Lake(Dong Jiang Hu) located in Chenzhou, Hunan Province. It's where my hometown is. There is a water dam that blocks the lake and thus forms a river called Dongjiang River(called by the local people but you probably cannot find it on the map). The water in the river is super crystal and cold(lower than 8℃ even in hot summer time), and the diversified fish in the lake and the river are just amazing. There are beautiful sceneries there. You wouldn't regret going there. You can take high speed train from Beijing to Chenzhou. There is a beautiful karst/limestone cave there in the lake area and also some beautiful islands within the lake too, on which you can get local homestay hotels.

I am a local of Guilin. The best season here would be Summer-Autumn. Just avoid raining period and foggy days. You can also find out different scenery of green rice terraces in early summer and yellow rice terraces in late autumn in Longji Village. The traditional bamboo BBQ cooked with sticky rice inside and you have to try the famous rice noodles (桂林米粉) in the downtown area. Hope to see you next time if you visit Guilin again.
