This is what I’ve been waiting for. River detecting. So much stuff. Is that because most metal detector hunters aren’t comfortable detecting in water and it isn’t all looked over?? Anyway just amazing and fun!!!
@finderskeepers66842 жыл бұрын
I know right! River detecting is great! I think the challenge lies in the research and the dedication to explore hundreds of miles of water. It's much easier to locate a house/farm and start digging then it is to try and identify areas where people were crossing/relaxing/playing in the rivers.

Hey Chigg, another great video. Glad to see that your toes are webbed again and you're ducking around in the creek. I would like to comment about that last square base bottle you picked up. It looked quite old and valuable. You sure it wasn't old? Thank you my friend for sharing, much love brother!

When you get time I would like to see more exploring videos (I think I have already watched all the others)? I also think it would be cool to hear a little more history if possible with out giving away the location of your spots? I'm not a relic hunter but love the outdoors and especially the rivers and streams! Thank you for the content 👍

At about the 5 minute mark where you are digging for the faint sound, it seems as if the river silt turns from brown to fireplace ash, black. Could you have discovered a discarded fireplace or other dump site?

Great video as usual nice finds some mysteries the last find the little brass object, it looks like something that was around from the 30s through to the 70s it was found on most small engines on things like pumps,grass mowers,and chainsaws and such it was used to turn on the fuel, one end for the fuel line and the threaded end screwed in the tank. Well done and cheers from downunder unfortunately we have not had any real wars historically the only one I can think of was the Eureka stockade in the 1850s at Ballarat in the gold fields. Cheers for now Chigg. Stuart Leamer Winchelsea Victoria Australia

That 38-55 shell is a Black Powder cartridge. And you might take a closer look at the zero in the date of the Large Cent. It looks like it might be an over date varity.
Dang, a 38-55 Winchester shell? I thought I was familiar with most of the old timey cartridges. Never heard of this one.
