For a person who hate swimming I actually like almost all the stuff with water in games. It lets me touch the things I don't wanna have anything to do IRL. So underwater levels in WoW is my personal gem.

So i enjoyed cata when it came out cus I had a big group of real life friends playing at the time and we raided did pvp/heroics etc and the guild system was introducted so that was fun. I did enjoy the new zones but yeah I do agree it isn't classic anymore buuuut now that we have classic era servers and all kinds of other goodies I don't mind going back and giving it a shot again. But i am way more excited for SoD/Classic+ content in general. Its just a damn good time to be a wow fan. So much variety to choose from.

It sucks that I left wrath because it was too stressful and I wanted more chill raiding, and then I go to classic and a lot of content creators in classic want a ton of quality of life, harder raids, and more dynamic rotations. I feel like at a certain point you have to ask yourself what do you not like about retail because they are giving you all of those things but better graphics. I want a more holistic experience more focused on talking and bonding with your guildies. Content creators thought they did but I don't think they do...

I say it all the time, I prefer content being easier. I'm not a big fan of a TON of mechanics but I am a fan of more than 1-3 button rotations. However I'm not looking for retail style rotations at all. I think many classes in Wrath are in a good spot rotation wise.

i dont think *most* of the quality of life changes in tbc or wrath were that bad, the problem with those two for the most part is how they feel rushed. there's no reason we should have fought the burning legion in the second expansion other than them not feeling up to implementing a south seas expansion and wanting to sell flying mounts and it's insane that you fight kiljaden before the lich king. there was so much more to do on azeroth that didnt require them to blow these big buildups from warcraft. wrt the quality of life changes, some of them were just really needed because some of the devs just clearly had really dumb ideas about design (see paladin and boomy) and updating the identities and balance of these specs while still retaining their intended vanilla identity is definitely a step in the right direction

raids/dungeons in Cata are great (until they get nerfed). Just have find a good raiding guild with people you like and /try. Everything else is meh. We are all 28+ yrs old & raid logging nowadays anyway. Hopefully they don't nerf the dungeons like they did back in the day. Nerfs are bad from now on. If everything is Vanilla classic faceroll easy...what the hell are we doing this for. Everyone eventually hates the game/quits when nothing is special (heroic mode loot/rare mounts/challenging stuff). If you want everything easy, stick to SoM/vanilla or something else.

face roll easy is an opinion, my guild in 2019 took 3 weeks to clear MC, and we spent a whole raid night wiping to razorgore in bwl, and we never killed kil Jaden before the nerf. The raids in classic are difficult enough for some, and if you look at when players engage with the content the most in classic wrath was 25 man naxx and died during Ulduar and p2 TBC.

the only bias with listening to creators that i'd think could actually impact the general player base in a negative way is listening to them on the pace that they want content released. i see all sorts of people wanting each phase to be just over a month because they spend their whole life on the game and i think SoD should probably be a lot more casual friendly

If they slow roll sod it will die. No one's playing bfd over and over for like 6 months sorry. Either put time into the game or don't. The rest of the community shouldn't be held hostage with content drops because you have 42 mortgages 18 kids and 3 jobs 😂.

I agree with you. Content creators as a whole are for sure guilty of wanting content to go faster. But I don't think it's because they play all the time. I think it's because they want to release the new videos faster.

Speed running makes classic worse than retail, because it cannibalizes alliances, because you can not legitly gear 15 warriors in an alliance. Now don't get me wrong i was in a top 10 speed clear alliance first week each time but the class stacking reworking professions for optimal dps is just too much
