If you're looking for "skilled pvp" vanilla is not the Era to judge it off. It's one of if not the most imbalanced pvp scenes there ever was. Also, it's all been figured out. There's no more "skill". It's just who watched/researched more videos on their class vs who didn't. The person who lives the game vs the person who plays 2hs a week. Then you have the people who live the game fight eachother and it's just a matter of rock paper scissors. I can't remember the last time I watched a pvp video on vanilla and reacted like "that was so sick dude! He vanished the frost nova and ambushed the mage for a kill!" It's all been done before and isn't impressive anymore, if anything it's expected for you to do things like that. If you don't you're considered bad. So there isn't a skill anymore, it's more so things that are expected of you at this point.

On the lockouts. What if it’s a 7 day lockout but you have 2 lockouts per character. So if you want you can just run gnomer back to back on a set scheduled day. Or have 2 raid day schedule.

disagree with scotty and agree with simonize regarding the difficulty of the game. I love the easy content, love the way the game is right now... my guild is 11/12 HM and trying to recruit in wotlk the past 3 months has been ridiculously hard. I like that we take our rogue that we've been playing with for the past 3 years who gets progressively drunker throughout the night every single week... the guild leader's uncle who parses green but is ALWAYS fucking there when we need him to fill in for a bench slot. I've been semi-casual raiding since 1999, switched to wow in 2004 because it was the more casual game than everquest... and the developers lost their way when they started catering to the people who play the game as a full time job.

i agree to a certain extent but i feel like they do have to buff the 60 content in some way shape or form.. we are going to be doing double dmg if not x3 the dmg we would normally be doing.. so i feel like increasing hp values, and potentially dmg outputs of mechanics/trash/bosses should be higher? thoughts guys?

Going in and stomping them with buddies absolutely brainlessly sounds like a good time, could probably nuke it with as small a group as 15-20 depending on how insane stats are by the time we get there!

They need to bring the 2 hour trade window down to 10 min so people cant hold loot till the end of a run, people are running 9-10 alts making actual money IRL from GDKPs weekly because they can plan the efficiency for the run. Do this and watch more of the raid leaders for gdkps stop when they have to bid after every boss kill.

Any correct for the start of the game for first mid fight clash. Doing anything else is a waste. Then later in the game, depending on team comp, often the rogue will be in charge of hunting down the enemy EFC. But you're cute though :)

My issue with gdkps is just the people who do them. They are so toxic. Never been in a gdkp where the raid lead doesn’t act like he’s a drill Sargent. Classic, SOD and wrath classic do not have the problem retail do. If retail only had LFR, Normal, and hC, less would be mad. the problem is mythic. Mythic is on another level of hard, its mission is impossible for 99% of people. Before there was a mythic raid, most people had a goal. the goal was to kill the last boss on HC. Did they do that? No, of course not, but the goal was closer to you than mythic. Mythic is SO far away people just quit. Also retail is way too complex, too many spells. MMORPG games are casuals, or most are. people enjoy the simple gameplay.

Well there is no direct proof, however if you put any thinking into it, it becomes quite obvious.. there are thousands of bots farming gold. That is a fact. They wouldn‘t do it if the gold wouldn‘t sell. Now you tell me, these tons of gold.. what would you possibly need them for? Professions? Preraid bis? The biggest gold-sink by far would be gdkp runs. That’s another fact. I am quite wealthy in sod cause I like trading and playing the ah. So there are ways to afford gdkps without buying gold.. but sure as hell many people do not get it in those ways.

When I ran GDKPs in era, most of them bought gold and were open about it. There was no consequences to buying. The gold shows up in your mail box with the message "Good job in that GDKP, here's your cut" and that's all that happens. I can't say for sure, but I imagine the same thing is happening in SoD.
