There's a crackdown on food vendors that have been reportedly operating illegally along Alki Beach in Seattle.
Seattle-King County Public Health reports it shut down seven vendors for selling tacos, hotdogs, and other snacks to beach-goers without a permit. Summertime in West Seattle is a crowded Alki Beach with food carts and kiosks along the boardwalk on weekends.
Public Health shut down seven vendors on June 23 along Alki that do not have a food permit indicating the vendor is trained in and following safe food handling practices to prevent the spread of foodborne illnesses like E.coli, salmonella, and norovirus, according to the health department.
