This podcast brought back memories. Sebastian is exactly as I remember him being back in 93 when him and I judged the cannabis cup together in Amsterdam. He is so down to earth and genuinely fun to be around. The funny thing was when we went out I had to buy the drinks cause he didn't have any money. The weed was all free, but he thought Steve Hagar, the editor of High Times, was providing Dutch guilder spending money. Here I am, a 22 year old backpacker, having to pay the bar tabs of a rock legend! Best week ever!

Great story! 30 years later, what were the strain winners?
@jayn3989

@therapist6328 The strain I best remember took second place, which was an outdoor grown Mother's Milk, submitted by Lucky Mothers coffeeshop. I voted it for #1. I've actually got my judging booklet, with all my notes, sonewhere in storage. There was only like 30 or 40 judges. Maybe one day I can give it to a marijuana history museum. Haha

Just a friendly hard rockin dude that would be the best neighbour, if you could choose. Brilliant, his positivity is infectious. Like when he suggests they google him at his lowest, cos he's past it and thinks there's a chance others might get a chuckle. Im not blowin smoke here, I dont like any of the bands hes been in. I saw Skid Row with Pantera in Seattle, i had to see Pantera but my son had just been born so i had to win the tickets off KISW 99.9FM because money was tight. I did win a pair and was in the winners section and was the only person rocking my ass to Pantera and playing air guitar and drums and singing along with Phil and Vinnie noticed me so when their set was over he stood from the 🥁 drums and pointed his sticks at me as he was walking to the front of the stage saying "you, you"! so i pointed at myself and said "me?" and he said "yes!" then he took a drum head and wound up like he was throwing a frisbee and said "are you ready" and i said "Hell yeah!" (Probably not where he got the band name) and he tossed it, it was coming straight at me then a few feet from my hands it took a dive to the seats below and we both put our hand on our heads like "oh, damn!" and he shrugged his shoulders and said "sorry, i tried!" and i gave him a double thumbs up and he gave two back at me then saluted me and turned and walked off stage. I will forever cherish that couple minutes that he gave all to me and ill never forget that moment. The highlight for my wife was when Sebastian was on stage and took his dick out and shook at the audience and she was so excited so that's the moment she remembers the most....lol. it was my wife's first live concert... Pantera and skid row! Pantera scared the shit out of her so bad it was kinda funny. We divorced 2 years later and i won custody of my son and raised him alone, hes now 32 years old and a second generation pantera fan and is an incredible Chef and will open his own restaurant in a couple years which is great for me because food prices have gone crazy....lol Rock on folks! Peace!!

i got the chance to meet Sabastian in St. Louis once. What a great opportunity it was. My Cuz and I met him and got autographs. He was really excited to see that my cuz had Bootleg stuff to be signed. I felt that he was humbled by the thought that someone was bootlegging his music. What an artist to not have the ego that he could have easily had. Love your work Sabastian!

Played Skid Row all thru high-school and my band covered Mudkicker from the Slave to the Grind album. I'm live in Kitchener Ontario and had no idea that Sébastien was literally a 40min drive from me on the 401 hwy at the time. No internet back then. Also didn't know his father did the art work for the album cover. Used to wear a band tee with that cover art on the front. Awesome interview. Thanks guys 🤘😈🤘

I haven't watched the whole thing yet, but I've met Sebastian a few times back in the height of his Skid Row days, and as a solo artist. He's always been the coolest guy, absolutely hilarious, a true rock fan himself, he'll talk to everybody....when they say never meet your 'heroes', it doesn't apply to him.

Sebastian Bach is a hoot. He's like a window into 80s rocker guys with Ontario roots. It's specific maybe but I know his references. They were part of my knowledge base and world. It's kinda like walking through a time capsule home in present day. Comforting and familiar. Bach is a lot of the guys I knew and/or guys went to school with. He's grown but he's not essentially changed. Always fun to watch. And his new video and music are great. So cool to hear 80s metal as an enduring and present day style instead of a moment who's time has passed. Bach is a treasure.

Skid Row, G&R, Motley Crew, Def Leppard, I could be here all day, Sebation Bach is one of the reasons I started strumming many decades ago! I started playing guitar in 1986 or 1987, then in 1990 I was finally freed from the hellish nightmare I was in & moved back home with my family! I collected silver, guitars, amps, pedals, amps as we all do when we play guitar. In 2013 I lost everything do to my brother stealing our house with everything we owned inside! To this day, I still play a few Skid Row songs! Skid Row is still one of my favorite bands all these days later!!!

1992. Me and my buddy go to the Salve to the Grind tour. We score aftershow passes and we end up partying with Sebastian Bach, Snake and Rachel. They literally had trash cans of Budweiser in the room. So there we are crushing beers with the guys. Bunch of chicks were there and Sebastian was just paying attention to us. And oh yeah. We were still in high school. Hahaha. What a time!!!
