Synopsis: Manny, Sid and Diego discover that the ice dam protecting the valley they were residing in was about to fall and eventually lead to floods. Soon after, they scamper off to find a safer habitat.

This sequel was so good and I love the relationship between Manny and Ellie, Ellie especially stole my heart as a kid and you have to remember she lost her family and was raised as a possum with her adopted brothers, and with how conflicted she is about her identity is honestly super adorable and oddly relatable. I also never noticed the insane amount of adult jokes that went over my head as a kid watching this movie

Reason why Ice Age 2: Meltdown is my FAVORITE Ice Age film because it develops and progresses Manny's character by introducing Ellie and their chemistry is cute, Crash & Eddie aren't as annoying as they are in later films, Diege getting over his fear of water, Sid being supportive, and whole trying to survive the flood is intense and bringing all the main characters together and Scrat being a hero at the end.
