@christophertyler55446 жыл бұрын
I can understand how blacks may be far more susceptible to believing race is an issue, but in this case, it seems far more likely that the woman in question is more mentally unstable than anything. And, as another woman asked, no, I don't think we stepped back into the days when the Democrats instituted Jim Crow laws or the black codes or tried to stop the civil rights legislation of the 60s, etc., or had the KKK as their enforcement arm. While my fear is, as I raise a young black girl, that 'racism is called out so often -without facts to substantiate it fully - that when real racism does occur people may be less apt to listen. Yale should definitely bring this white girl in, too, and have a serious talk with her and possibly sanction her for this type of crazy behavior as well as get her help for her mental health problems.
@tom_something6 жыл бұрын
Let me check my Bingo card. 1. "The white person who did the bad thing probably has mental issues." 2. "This probably isn't about race." 3. "It's only 'real racism' if someone's burning crosses." 4. "Black people are crying wolf by making this about race." And of course, #5, the free space, is bringing up the history of the Democratic party when it is completely irrelevant to the topic at hand. Hot diggity! That's five in a row!

People who make wilfully baseless accusations should have some form of sanctions brought against them. Yale authorities should make a clear statement against this sort of behaviour and outline some serious consequences. Likewise, police and state authorities should do the same. I don't know what her major is, but eventually she will be out in the workforce and if this is how she is now, just imagine what it will be like for people of color wherever she ends up working. She could end up as a supervisor and her prejudice will continue to cause issues. God does not take commandments from pagan religions created by men where have you been? Rabbits do not hatch Easter Eggs and there is no such thing as a White Messiah named Jesus who was born on Dec. 25th. The Bible is about the Black Hebrew Israelites from beginning to end not Caucasians or paganism. Christians are such hypocrites following the traditions and commandments of men while ignoring God's laws, statutes, and commandments." The Bible warns about adding and removing to and from God's written word: "Ye shall not add unto the word which I command you, neither shall ye diminish ought from it, that ye may keep the commandments of the Lord your God which I command you (DEUTERONOMY 4:2 KJV)." These racist issues are getting way out of hand along with police being called unnecessarily to intervene and these type of calls are putting people's lives in danger. Because in turn it causes the victim to refuse and feel no need to comply to police officers who are trying to do their job and go by the book. Has anyone noticed the victim, Lolade, was being very foolish and unnecessarily disrespectful towards the officers. She could have been putting her life in danger. She should have used the officers for her own advantage. The main important thing she should have been thinking about was making sure the officers were understanding exactly what had happened so she would have a clear detailed police report about her and her friends stairwell encounter to use against that clearly racist woman, SUE her and use the police report to force Yale to kick that racist woman out of the college, maybe get herself moved to better living quarters and get an extension on her paper. If she played her cards right. All she did was harmed herself by giving the officers a very negative impression about her attitude by not simply complying with handing over her ID, not being polite and she only showed them that she is a confrontational person with a non-stop disrespectful attitude. So now if that white woman tell lies and plays the victim pity card by telling the police she was very combative, threatening, grabbed her and showed self-inflicted marking and very confrontational towards her and she now is afraid she will be harassed by her. Guess what, the police will believe that woman, maybe Yale will and rest assure the police definitely has everything written down in that report about Lolade's disrespectful and combative attitude towards them. Note, whenever a person refuses to calmly comply, officers will always call for backup to make sure nothing gets out of hand and to have several witnesses for the report. Lolade's attitude was directed to the wrong party. Not everyone will have a phone on them to record their situation. Sometimes it pays to your benefit to try to come across friendly to officers that are trying to do their job and go by the book, so one of them could vouch, testify about your good character and try to help you out when you call and ask for them. Sorry, it seemed as if she was trying to provoke the police into arresting her or doing something to her. So what she had a key, it could have been to anyone's apt. and she could have just been a visitor. What was the big issue with giving her ID over- NONE, telling everything in detail for the correct police report and staying calm and respectful while doing it. So what, I had an officer tell me that my ID was expiring very soon (he was wrong) and to make sure I stayed on top of it and I had a different address on it. I said, "Thank you officer for letting me know, please check it again!" He seen his error and apologized. I smiled! It wasn't a big deal saying thanks! When police pull you over or you go into patrolled buildings your ID gets run. Sometimes in life you have to stop being foolish and make sure things play out to benefit your TRUTHFUL situation and get out alive. Its starting to also feel like some people are just seeing too many dollar signs and trying to go for it, plus some are just telling or filming half of their story, diffusing the situation and staying alive is by far more important than money and giving a superiority attitude towards authorities with guns. In this dangerous and sometime trigger happy world, you have to know when to speak up, when to comply, when to be respectful and when to shut up. And people are no longer getting involved and running over to help you out. So everyone need to try to understand all of "Childish Gambino's messages in This is America" and try to be safe.
@christophertyler55446 жыл бұрын
No one's life was put in danger.

When if I did say exactly what you said I did, please post it, and I will gladly apologize, as I have no way of getting inside one's mind and knowing what they think. Also, as I had both black and Hispanic friends calling from Brazil and Portugal asking me questions such as: "Are the police in America really gunning down blacks on the street and is it not safe for them there?," I can obviously understand how people who don't study the issues and facts might believe that. Because the facts are, the whole BLM premise is false and whether it be Dr. Thomas Sowell, Larry Elder, Harvard Professor Roland Freyer or Dr. Walter Williams, all black men of great accomplishment both familiar with, and who have studied this issue, and many more, they would tell you that. They would say, as well, that there is no more systemic racism in America. That doesn't mean racism doesn't exist, by the way, but simply that it goes in many directions and things have changed for people of color to such a large, large extent and in many positive ways. Dr. Sowell, who is in fact a living legend, also has a great new book out which outlines why in so many areas there are disparities and it's not because of race. When finally, I help raise a beautiful young black girl and in terms of knowing how blacks feel, she came to me and asked me why she received special treatment at school, which was true as I found out, because of her color. So I at least know what she is thinking as we talk all the time about everything. We all have totally different experiences, however, with my also knowing you can't take anecdotal experiences or empirical ones, meaning our own personal experiences, and then make a broader judgment about it by extrapolating out and expect to be correct. Factual statistics are what we have for that and they simply don't support the positions I see so many from the left put forth. I also see people say statistics are not facts, either, but they absolutely are. While instead what they are trying to say is that, and yes - it's true - statistics can be used in a misleading way. But as to the things I have talked about, and the things the aforementioned men have put forth, none of them use statistics in any type of deceptive way, thanks. Thanks too for allowing me to share that information with people. Hopefully, too, Spike Lee's new movie is factual and shows that the Democrats founded the KKK and then used it to enforce Jim Crow laws and the Black Codes, etc. When of course, too, the Democrat party has a very racist background which makes me wonder how any person of color could ever join it. When being against school choice, etc., which they are, hurts blacks more than anything. When polling data, too, shows that blacks very strongly support school choice, in case that is what you are referring to.

This is an excellent segment, too, and rather than look for particular anecdotal evidence which supports each person's point of view, which can always be done in a country as large as ours, Larry Elder here, takes former progressive, Dave Rubin for task due to his lack of knowledge. While I know many have and will call Mr. Elder names, but as to his arguments, you will not find people who can show that he is wrong. kzbin.info/www/bejne/ppmziYeNf82hj68

Actually Trisha, racism in America, especially as towards blacks, has gotten less and less and less. This is an excellent segment, too, and rather than look for particular anecdotal evidence which supports each person's point of view, which can always be done in a country as large as ours, as you are doing and talking of, you will see Larry Elder here, taking on former progressive, Dave Rubin, and to task, due to his lack of knowledge. Oregon just passed a bill, if someone calls the police for no reason, you can sue them. Wouldn't it be nice if this became law in every state. A person can still call if someone is suspected of a crime, but must be able to explain why they thought crime is/was being committed. In a nutshell, the law was passed to punish those who feel it's okay to call police just because of bigotry, or they just don't like a person, because of race.
