Sorry to hear that! My backyard faces a park with a little children's playground and grass area and public sidewalk. I've had a nasty incident last summer where some teens threw huge concrete chunks breaking glass sliding doors. I heard it and immediately ran out and saw and confronted them. I don't know them but they hang out in the park. Called the police, had to leave a message. They called back and literally said if I don't have a recorded video of them doing it, nothing they can do. It was definitely them, I didn't see anyone else. But I was SOL. So, I have security cameras installed, so I can record right behind my fence. From what has been said, it sounds like there isn't enough direct evidence (yet) for them to arrest anyone. The only thing they have right now is circumstantial evidence that the cafe owner has to know what's going on. What do they charge him with? No, the problem isn't the police not making an arrest. At the moment, the problem is they can't prove anything. Whether they are actively investigating, that's a different matter and something we may never know.

Trailer theft is such an under reported crime. I was in the events business years ago and it was a regular occurrence, sadly. I had security around my house. Vehicle pulls up in in front child gets out steals package off my front door. Call the cops give them the video the face of the child. The next day or two days later one of my family members found the package and the car and their house where they lived. I go over there stand on public property take pictures of my name on the box next to their trash can 50 ft on their property. Never heard back from the police. The company refunded my money and let me order the product again. Even after telling them everything that happened.

I feel bad for these men. They work hard at honest jobs, they invested heavily into the equipment to expand their business and some people think that if they don't get shot trying to steal from them it's all okay. It's definitely a factor in why I left D/FW 20 years ago and have never considered moving back. Obviously surveillance cameras, quality locks and GPS trackers have a role in deterring casual thefts but it's the QUALITY of some of the people in D/FW, and all big cities, that you can't control. When everything else fails you call the police, they take a report and eat another donut.

Those are easy to remove if you're willing to cut locks and twist bolts. They only stop people without tools and intent. Good cameras that work, and signs telling people they're working, are probably the only deterrent that does anything any more.

The answer is a removable hitch they are used mostly in the carnival business on the game trailers very strong and with the hitch stowed it can't be moved

Charge the police with dereliction of duty. Do it through lawyers, file with the Government. Keep records of everything. Involve the press. This is dangerous, having the public receive no help WHATSOEVER when being forced to solve crimes against themselves.

😂They make it the law to have business insurance, charge you an arm and a leg, and when something happens, they deny your claim, or prolong investigation and long wait for a pay out. Then they raise everyone's premiums. I worked in a personal injury law firm, and the automobile insurance companies will go to great lengths to deny your claim. They will have private eyes following you, trying to find evidence to reject you. If you claim you're hurt, they basically want you homebound, only going out to see your doctor, until they make a decision.
