Heck they should've been a couple who like Luke didn't follow the strict and often cruel Jedi Code from the Prequel ere but instead show that TRUE love can make us stronger and even more good. Because back when they chose a black actor to portray Fury, they didn't do it with an agenda in mind (or maybe they had that same agenda already in mind but the public was unaware at the time, regardless >) it wasn't like nowadays when they get a black actor to portray a previously white character, the fact they're doing it hypocriticaly is so obvious, waving the actor like an immunity totem, that's actually racist, and so contemptuous for said actor... It even feels like they're trying to provoke hate toward that decision to generate bad buzz which end up making the movie or the show talked about a lot. A character talking about growing up in a segregated country can be a good scene in a number of ways. It could... A. Enrich the character and provide them with an interesting background. B. Actually be important to the story. C. Be interesting and well written dialogue that the audience wants to hear. Secret Invasion provides none of this.

Secret Invasion in the comics was about the EVIL skrolls slowly, and subtlety replacing the heroes, Avengers, Spider-Man and Xmen included. The fact that they didn't do it was a red flag from the beginning.

Admittely, you have to realize, Secret Invasion in the MCU was NEVER going to reach the same amount of epicness as it did in the comics no matter how good the writing would and could be. The comics utilized the x-men, Avengers, etc. In the current MCU we have neither of those teams.

I feel you are not understanding power levels. Being strong does not mean someone is bulletproof. Bane is super strong, for example, when dosed on Venom, but shots damage him all the same. Big muscles do not equal bulletproof skin. On the other hand, we have characters like say, Stone Boy from Legion of Superheroes, who can turn to stone and be invulnerable but he is no stronger than a regular guy.

That is what I was thinking too. Whilst the race segregation was bad it was in the 1960's so to remember that time you would need to be born in 1955 so that would make you 67 at the youngest in present day and since we don't have military space stations yet this drama would be set at least 20 years in the future but more like 50 years in the future so the person in question would be 117 years old.
