QUOTES:
“I do it first thing in the morning, and that’s when I get all my best ideas. In moving and in the gym and working [...] I get my best creative ideas.” Lisa Bilyeu [7:15]
“I don’t do treadmills, I don’t want to see numbers. I don’t want to see how far I’ve gone. Some days I run three miles, some days I run a mile and a half, some days maybe I’ll go longer. I go with what I feel and I let my body guide me.” Evy Poumpouras [7:41]
“I have this mindset, kill fear while it’s still small, so I kept that in check.” Evy Poumpouras [11:26]
“It’s a lifestyle, and the second I shifted from ‘I just wanna deadlift 100 pounds’ to ‘I want to keep deadlifting until I’m 90.” Lisa Bilyeu [18:35]
“It took me recognizing the importance of f*cking relaxing, the importance of sticking to it, the importance of setting boundaries to it, and the importance of understanding what it does to you and why you need to make it a habit.” Lisa Bilyeu [26:44]
That’s why I’m not always in beast mode. I can’t sustain beast mode cause beast mode is going to make me crash. I save beast mode for when I need it.” Evy Poumpouras [34:53]
“Food is literally like gas in a car. If you’re not putting in the right gas, if it’s not good quality, if it’s not regular, if you leave the car on empty, your car just doesn’t work anymore.” Lisa Bilyeu [48:03]
“It’s not about how you f*cking look. Being unstoppable means you have to look at what you eat, how it affects your brain, how it affects your mood, how it affects how you show up everyday…” Lisa Bilyeu [1:06:34]

I agree, that was such a wholesome scene in this episode! I love hearing both of their different perspectives because I relate to each of them at times. But even more than that, I admire their respect for each other despite these differences. It’s such a healthy relationship to see from role models!

Please leave and do what’s best for you and your mental, physical, and spiritual health! I know people who were in a similar situation. You will not regret it! You are strong enough. Like others said, do not announce it to the person, just pack what you can and leave. Possibly try asking cops to stay in front of the house while you leave in case you don’t feel safe, and file a restraining order afterwards. It’s good to have on record. (I’m writing this for toxic and abusive relationships that are really bad, which I think is what you were implying. I’ve seen too many unfortunately, but I have also seen people’s growth after leaving). Also, there are more affordable mental health options now, with programs such as BetterHelp where you can reach a licensed therapist via text, chat, and video call. I wish you the best 🙏

I AM UNSTOPPABLE I‘ve been a fan of Lisa for some time and when you introduced Evy I immediately bought her book! Killing fear while it’s still small was one of my favorite takeaways from this episode. I remember reading it in Evy’s book and it’s been a real game changer for me. It would be such a dream come true to “hang” out with you ladies as I have looked up to Lisa for so long and Evy has helped light a fire in me just from her book.

I focus on eating healthy & toning my body to stay fit, not worrying about weight. If I don’t eat an apple & fruit, I’ll drink cold pressed vegetables in the morning.

I want to be able to show up every day as the best version of myself because like you said, you have to be able to get out of bed to be unstoppable. I'm going to start a food journal in response to this episode. Evy, I loved how you compared our bodies to a car. That made so much sense to me! I'm not always going to be stock. It was nice to have met you all as well I thought I would follow up our little call by saying hello to you and hopefully you got something out of the discussion besides just the huge freaking deal it was to actually be under discussion with Lisa and EVY LOL! I AM UNSTOPPABLE I absolutely hate working out, I get anxiety at the gym. I feel like everyone is making fun of me and snickering (because that what me an my friends used to do at the gym). In order for me to exercise, I have to trick myself into it. I like dance, so I’ll do stripper aerobics (Flirty Girl Fitness). Also when I am cleaning the house, I throw on some music and dance/work out/clean. I have to multi task, and I absolutely MUST listen to something while cleaning. Also I add extra workout moves like 10 squats everytime I have to pick up something off the floor, or walking up the stairs 3at a time. Like you said, you have to do what works for you. For me it’s about making dreaded tasks (cleaning and working out) into something fun, by including things that I like to the mix (dance and music). I love you guys!!!

I agree. I think there are probably exercises that don't feel like exercise that everyone would like if they found what appeals to themselves personally. I absolutely love this. Like they say we are what we eat. 2 years ago I changed my eating lifestyle for my health. For 8yrs I suffered from IBS, lactose intolerant, bad stomach pains, and attacks due to the sharp sharp stomach pains. I would be stuck in bed for weeks or months due to the pain. The doctor did all types of studies to help find the cause of my issues. But it didn't help. The hospital would send me home when I would go for answers when I would get the sharp attachs. It was so hard the drs would say that I just wanted to be there for the meds and that I'm okay or I would of been dead.( This was so devastating to hear this from the hospital 😭). Until finally I took action and determination to learn about veganism and eating plant based. I'm so happy I took this leap of faith, as soon as I changed my eating lifestyle, in a week I started tp feel a difference. In a month goodbye inflammation, sharp pains, and attacks. I'm now pain free and no longer stuck in bed 🙏🙏🙏.

I AM UNSTOPPABLE! I liked the distinction Lisa made between looking healthy versus actually being healthy. I think it is still a big misconception and glad you addressed it. I really resonate with the idea of looking at now you feel as a marker of good health. Even the idea of going by looks creates division between people. Swinging from fat shaming to the opposite extreme of skinny shaming and so on. Evy's point on avoiding setting rigid rules and not focusing on numbers has been life changing for me. And the way she linked this idea back to her workout routine gave us a good framework apply for us to easily apply as well. As someone who grew up in a time where the saying “beauty is pain” was prevalent. Where most advice fall short, Lisa and Evy nailed, by acknowledging our human element. That we’re imperfect, unique and how we feel matters❤️

I AM UNSTOPPABLE! Hi Lisa and Evy 😎! I’ve noticed that I utilize lifestyle choices that the both of you incorporate in your lives to balance out my needs and what’s best for my mental and physical health. My dad has been big into physical health all of my life and it rubbed off onto me. The takeaways that I got from today’s live stream are: to listen to what your body is telling you, not everyone’s body works the same way, adapt your needs to your lifestyle, don’t over do extremes, figure out which challenges you are willing to do on a regular basis, if something is difficult, try it anyway and step out of your comfort zone, and it’s great to listen to different ideas from multiple people to inspire figuring out methods that work for you.

I AM UNSTOPPABLE! My favorite takeaway was when Evy and Lisa described two different ways of how they go about working out and the resilience training. The reason that was my favorite takeaway was because by them explaining their different ways of going about it, it showed me that one way wasn't better than the other and that it's about listening to your body. In that moment i felt human. Thank you🙏

I am unstoppable! I love how different you both are, but how well you get along. Biggest takeaway: -take care and do whats right for your body. Do what feels good and don't copy everyone else. Workout to feel good, not just to look good -eat right. Food should fuel your body! Like gas helps a car go, food does the same! Without good nutritious food, your body won't function right.

I AM UNSTOPPABLE Takeaways: - Food is fuel = it’s for performance. If the machine breaks down then you are useless. - Doing any movement = elegant things for the pleasure of my body, for the pleasure of my mind. Love this. - Find your ways to be in flow - this allows you to be adaptable. But also know your personal ways to support focus and block out noise. - Meditation - a consistent daily 5 - 20 min can be enough to help reset. - Set up your house to support your goals = gym set up in the garage so it’s easy to use every day to destress and stay strong. - Sleep is a non-negotiable. - We all have phases in our lives. But continuing to grow, expand and use our talents keeps life and our purpose fresh. ~ Thank you for all you both share! I would love to hear a podcast of how each of you made the transitions into your “next phase” of being a woman of impact. The obstacles, the steps you took to overcome them, the thought process, mind set, strategy to becoming the next phase of yourself. Big life change can be an obstacle for so many. 💜

That's why I do contrast showers over cold showers - there are health benefits you can't achieve with one extreme or the other. Thank you Lisa for putting these Women of Impact videos together, they are inspiring and have helped me through some really rough times. Thank you Evy for joining on these videos - I enjoy learning from your Secret Service experience. You both are so badass, and your rapport with each other is magnetic!

Thank you so much!!! What an amazing episode. Honestly I still have to be careful for my own mental health when listening to anything surrounding food + exercise as similar to Lisa I went through years of disordered eating which then developed into an eating disorder and there are many times when restrictive, fasting and diet-focused advice is online. But I really respect the work Lisa and Evy do and this felt so good and empowering to listen to. Taking those steps to feeling unstoppable! x

I am unstoppable! I've had one of the most difficult 2years of my life and I realized I was allowing people to mistreat me. I woke up Dec 26 with great determination that I've had enough and that I can change me... and what I can allow. So I have been truly unstoppable! My takeaways...I really listen...to the truth you both talk about...I have more confidence...control of myself and determination to enjoy my life to my real self to whom I still discovering more of...I listen with full intent to learn from your experiences and the value in those lessons...Thank you, beautiful ladies!

I AM UNSTOPPABLE. Love the examples of boundaries and not always being ON. It’s taken me such a long time & giving myself so much GRACE to navigate the resistance from those in & around my family to be able to turn off & not be so relied on to be the one that’s on for everyone. NOW I am getting to figure out what’s really MY jam & learning to be ok with letting go of what’s not truly something I enjoy or desired to be available for.

This episode touched on several points of the current changes I’ve made & am making. The relax portion took me 3 years to work on a balance for. Food is HUGE and boundaries I’m still working on as well as educating those around me about what I can and can’t do with my visual impairment, since I haven’t allowed it to stop me from doing things I’ve set my mind to, I’m truly a work in progress and appreciate the different perspectives you both share in the series. Looking forward to more, I love this conversation.

I AM UNSTOPPABLE My favorite takeaway from this video was the idea of making time for myself in order to stay motivated or energized. I’m really bad at depriving myself of any joy or fun outside of strictly working or doing school work because I feel like I haven’t earned it yet because I haven’t met my goals. I have recognized when I do things for myself like take a nap, read a fiction book, go for a run, or simply buy myself a new shade of lipstick I feel like I have more enthusiasm or energy after. Hearing the two of you speak on this matter makes me feel less guilty about doing something fun or relaxing on occasion instead of constantly grinding. Thank you for all y’all do.

I AM UNSTOPPABLE - The main things I took from this was - 1 -how different you both are but you have the same goals . That was refreshing . 2-now I understand that writing and being organised at night for the next day is a good thing , 3- that having fun / family time is great thing , and 4 - what I put in my body is detrimental to my health and well-being, as Lisa said the impact of food. And 5 - most of all I’m taking away from this is that I am UNSTOPPABLE! . Thanks ladies xx

I AM UNSTOPPABLE - my key takeaway is that different things work for different people and there is nothing wrong with that! I get so much value from these conversations with Lisa and Evy. Not just their stories, but in they way they interact while honoring each other’s differences. It was especially moving to hear Evy speak about endurance vs extremes, and to hear Lisa speak about how will power can be detrimental to your health. A lot of “self-help” is focused on finding motivation, but when you are already highly motivated that same fire can push you to keep going well beyond your breaking point. I’m learning the importance of listening to my body in a deeper way. Just because I can power through and keep going, doesn’t mean that I should. Thank you for another great episode 🤗

I AM UNSTOPPABLE. Having the ability to listen to our body is a reflection of being in alignment with our body and mind. Often times, our minds are so clouded by what’s going on around us, what we are told we should do and like, that there is a disconnect and we end up not knowing ourselves and doing things contrary to what we actually need (or want!) . I agree with the argument made here, the mind and body are connected. We can tune ourselves in to this connection and make decisions that will benefit us, or we can turn away from it and it will show in the decisions we make and the outcomes that we will face. For me, this alignment came with age (I’m 40 now) and after experiences of rejection, discomfort, and hardships. At some point you turn toward yourself with full loyalty, acceptance, and patience because you realize that’s the most authentic and reliable connection you were gifted. And that’s very rewarding and liberating.

I AM UNSTOPPABLE! I resonated with what both Evy and Lisa had to say about food. I feel like Lisa touches on the reality of food trauma and how it changes our method of survival, and Evy portrays a foundation for what healthy food relationships should look like. Lisa, I love how relatable your food discussions are because it's an everyday survival mindset for a lot of women, of "what do I need to eat to survive in this world," meaning how can I eat to best fit in, look good, etc. I've been repairing my relationship with food for a year now, and I am grateful to say I can finally see and implement a lot of what Evy says, and also understand I came from the trauma Lisa describes, and take accountability for my future.

I AM UNSTOPPABLE!! I really enjoyed the drive that these powerful women have. My take-away is Evy's analogy on how we take care of our car better than we take care of ourselves. Great point!! Lisa has pushed herself. I'm known to be a quiet person person who's lacked drive. I've made excuses and don't feel smart enough. I'm a single mother. I AN UNSTOPPABLE!! Am inspired by all the wisdom both of you have shared with me. I feel like you guys said so many things that I stared doing immediately. Taking cold showers after my warm showers for a minute. My goal is to become better a version of myself. I am a stay home mom of three beautiful daughters, I help my husband run his plumbing business. I have always struggle with my body image, because I remember my mom making a comment about my body. So I grew up having this blue print of the body image of my older and younger sister. I thought I needed to look like them. I dont want my daughters to judge themselves, I want them to think different then I did. And I have learned alot from you guys. Thank you !!

So much of this speaks to me. I grew up with both parents as marathon runners in the late "70's, so they ate for performance. Everything in moderation. Mom was a running coach, so she'd talk about listening to the body. I had that mentality throughout my life, and later through the military and as a wife and mother. This was the first time I ever heard anyone express it in that way, and it's so validating because I could never explain/defend myself with my husband's different attitude and to anyone that gave me a hard time about how I ate. I also loved the way Lisa discussed looking at out background to figure out what we need and want now, and it looks different for everyone. Y'all are inspiring. Healing from chronic Lyme takes its toll, but this gives me encouragement! Thank you!

I AM UNSTOPPABLE ,and what I took out of this was the consistent angles of listening to the body and the mind in an independent way. Whether it be the mental goals, head spaces, attention or physical health, gut feelings, or the utter feeling of motion and the pleasure it brings to surface. Most important take away was "The mind and body are not separate" and personally, how much our environment makes a difference in our mindset.

I AM UNSTOPPABLE! Wow! This episode is so incredible! I really connected with what both of you shared, and it hit me profoundly when Lisa spoke about putting aside drawing for many years to focus on work. As a tattoo artist, I’ve realized that I put so much time into doing art for other people that I tend to set aside doing my own art as less important. This was beautiful validation to create and do the things that feel right for me, and not put them aside as being unimportant. The entire segment about taking care of the body vehicle through food and doing only what feels good was sooo powerful! I learned so much from both of you, and deeply appreciated hearing Evy’s approach on health and nutrition. Similarly to Lisa, I used to force myself to follow guidelines suggested by other people, and I didn’t accept that my body was telling me that those things weren’t working for me. My health was at its worst during that timeframe, and as I’ve learned to listen more and more to my body and instincts my health has drastically improved. I’m so grateful for your openness and the gems you share, you’ve been such an incredible blessing in my life! Watching Women of Impact and Impact Theory the past several years has been the ultimate game changer, and I am stoked to continue learning, growing and being unstoppable!

I AM UNSTOPPABLE I got so many takeaways from this episode. I could really relate to Evy on running at night. I love it. I also take the anxiety and stress from throughout the day and put it into my running. It quiets the chatter in my head as well. It's honestly the only thing I have ever found to help with my anxiety. I am training for my first marathon! I liked how Lisa talked about that the second you make a promise to yourself, you are the only thing that can break it. I also loved the concept of how your body is like a vehicle and food is like the gas for your vehicle. I also really enjoyed how Lisa and Evy could disagree with each other on what does and doesn't work for them personally. It shows that there are different ways to do things for everyone and not everyone has to follow one path.
