Me too, I know drones aren’t in, but I like the Vulcan the drones are not essential for it to have its core gameplay. It is a medical ship with modular room configuration for med beds tiers 1,2 and 3 being possible. Realistically I don’t think we’ll see it until CIG are ready to nail down the difference between the bed tiers. For once we have a ship with the tier one beds it will likely mean that the 890J and Carrack may loose the ability to respawn.

Algared, count me in as an old backer that is extremely excited for the old stuff. The Retaliator is going to be a very special moment for me in the Star Citizen journey.

I've always felt like Invictus launch week has been 2 weeks because they draw out each manufacturer for 2 or 3 days. It's also going to be a free-fly event and so all of those new players they want to draw in with the new aesthetic are going to need 2 weeks to properly explore the game. If I'm going to be fair most of the time, Invictus and iae are so processor heavy and laggy that it takes 2 weeks just to make sure that you actually got a chance to visit it. I'd be really interested to see the them follow through with their promise of delivering the backlog of RSI ships this year. And while I'm excited to see a Polaris, I back to Perseus and an Apollo and would really like to see those ships come to fruition. I think too what would be really nice is having more time to actually see what's available and pledge for ships being able to move around funds and credit and the like. This is probably going to be the last time that the idis is going to be this cheap. Might be a good time to pick up a liberator or a kraken because eventually we're going to need carriers to get our ships and for us to different systems and they're only going to get more expensive from here on out. At the end of the day though, if it's late last year I'd be happy just to pick up five of the new bikes to have his LTI tokens that way when new ships stop popping out during the year is going to be easier to upgrade.

The Caterpillar is the best ship for breach & boarding Capital ships IMO, since it can carry enough troops for the job. Don't forget about the heist in lore, plus the front of the Cat is made for it ... that is Y it extends out. If CIG is willing to implement it as the lore stated.

When guys suggested there could be more ships with modularity than just the Tali and the MPUV, my first thought was the Vanguard. They're supposed to be some of the simplest modular ships, and they're seeing a truly massive, otherwise inexplicable price hike (3-5x, relatively far higher than any other ships). Also fits with ILW.

There is a LOT of modular ships. I think about 20 of them have modular rooms - Retaliator two bomb bays - Avenger chassis rear room - Vanguard center room - Apollo - Caterpillar - Galaxy Etc

Usually for Invictus they have a cheap LTI token ship straight to flyable and paired with a discount package deal. Something coming out of the pipeline and a large concept that will be 10+ years off into the future. I believe the ship that Execute was thinking of was the RSI Galaxy concept. I personally feel like Invictus will be thin on new flyable ships and a lot of hope doubling down on what they said about all the RSI ships being released this year. I feel like they should be releasing MORE ship or the "Watershed" year they have been promising will be more like a rainy weekend when you were a kid and really wanted to go outside to play but couldn't.

i honestly think that CIG has made it 2 weeks because of the 3.23.x patch to make it feel that there is less of a waiting time towards that feature patch with the big hitters like freight elevators & personal hangars. And having the expo open and every player engaged with the event makes the universe more alive in that time and less active on hey when is that feature coming. plus yes marketing can go nuts for more hype and thus more sales/money. i do hope that they have something bigger at least with a QT drive then the 3 confirmed vehicles in store for us but its highly unlikely. i would even like a new variant to carry that mirai pulse bike around. but well have to wait and see haha. Thanks to you inforunners for making this video and getting me hyped again to start playing again!

Mind you even closed cab vehicles will have limited oxygen supplies (at least I expect they will) all be it a lot more than is in our suites. Eventually life support will I imagine also impact ships and stations. But I’m starting to drift into the realm of logistics and support.

2 weeks for ILW, its just another go at some unrevealed sales linked event, gold ticket F8C, Overdrive token F7A, theyre trying to tie these perks to forcing engagement, hide the selling out, smoke and mirrors misdirection. Eventually they might get one working right XD Wouldnt be surprised if you have to jump through hoops to get some new Tali module, or worse, the sort of new MPUV.

Maybe the reason why it's 2 weeks is to spread the anticipated spike in traffic? A longer event means people are less likely to rush in and take down the servers. Given the new tech being introduced, maybe it's to give it the best possible chance - especially for any new players coming in with the freefly.

09:15 I'm hoping they also allow it to lock onto an URSA/NURSA rover and be able to drop it off or reposition it. Additionally, I noticed that the escape raft on the 890 was the exact same shape as the personnel pod on the MPUV transport. So hopefully one day we can use that as an alternative way to bring VIP's to an 890.

That is because the escape pod on the 890 is the same as the escape pod on the Javelin. The pod on the back of the MPUV-P is the escape pod from a Javelin. I’ve often said it means it would be possible to have a ‘luxury’ version of the MPUV. - although I’d like to see the 890j escape pod redesigned , keeping it the same size but having 6 rather than 8 seats. Allowing more room and essentially meaning the life support in the pod would last 25% Longer. The extra space could hold supplies of course is it a change that is needed or required? Absolutely not.

Guessing we learn at least one of those mystery ships from the citcon teaser. Maybe a new concept too. Hoping Invictus gets a bit more lore related, compared to a sign up desk at the show entrance. Did the Javelin and Bengal break down this year so the fleet is small? Maybe it's the game thats the limit, before the tech comes in.

Nice thought, and for a Neo-Meserite faction disrupting Invictus or even doing their own recruitment drive against the Xian loving Lalani Addison and Terra-ist faction it makes a evil sort of plan. Of course my concern would be performance of the game. We know free flights and Invictus already push the limits of the servers because of the numbers that log in concurrently. Xenothreat would just add to pressure being applied to the servers.

im wondering if the two weeks has something to do with giving them more time to fix issues in the patch while the event is going on. If it becomes unplayable for people for whatever reason, they can try and fix it before the event is over. Or, it could just be to bring it in line with IAE, since its two weeks long.

There no way the Apollo is coming with Invictus. The Apollo needs DRONE TECH before it can be released. CIG said they weren't putting in ships without their core functionality. We'd be better served with them making the Arrastra in the RSI queue.

The Apollo has drones but it does not need drones to be functional because it can land and was literally seen as a Mobil clinic suitable for remote regions and has Med beds. Although the drones are why it wasn’t the ship we thought most likely.

@@algared6131 Personally, I'd be happy for CIG to release the Apollo with the Shepard Medi-Lift drones. I'd also be happy for them to release the Spirit E-1 without the MixMaster machine. I've had tons of times I wanted to have a VIP transport ship I could give rides in to other players. And they literally released the other two variants already. And there's just as much personal transport gameplay as there is ground bombing. Oddly, I think the whole "don't release a ship without all its core functionality" trend was in response to player backlash from ships being released without their core functionality in-game yet. (Reclaimer, etc) But I'm not in that camp. Let them release the ships as they can & put the functionality in later when it's done. So long as the ship can function as-is, I'm fine with it. Even if they fixed the Apollo med-bed loadout for now with a 1-T1, 2-T2 and 3-T3 layout, that would be fine for most players until the full functionality/modularity is in-game. And I'd happily use my Triage for rescues.

@@algared6131 PS - I'm also really surprised we haven't heard a peep about drone technology. Not at least year's CitizenCon or any time before/since. They've been remarkably tight-lipped about it, yet with so many ships using some form of it (Carrack, Crucible, Vulcan, etc) they've got to have some idea of what's going on with it. Is there a technical hurdle they need to cross first or is it just a time/schedule thing? Maybe after they're doing migrating all the SQ42 features over to the PU, they can start focusing on SC-only features like drones, MixMaster drink machines, etc.

Much like Blades, I think drones are tech that CIG have no idea how to do. With the current server performance and Netcode deficit, I won't be surprised if we see retcons on a lot of these "tech speculation" deliverables. Thinking about Server meshing, it took around 7 years to make up the tech debt to lay the foundation. We aren't even here yet. Let's say CIG get blades and drones functional and can maintain server performance with the intense background logic processes and fund the server requirements in the next 10 years, will we still be playing? I hope so

It hasn’t been mentioned in any of the information or work progress. There are issues still to be sorted with the doors to the modules which also the lifts. Still I’d love to see some modularity for it especially if many of the blockers have been solved. I do think however, that being such an old ship and in need of work we’d be more likely to see a full rework.
