Let me guess! They "give" you the land and then tax you on it's "value" which they assess! The land was on their books at one assessment, but as soon as it's transferred to another, it gets reassessed. Then you invest money to improve the land and the assessing continues. These "give aways" are for increasing the tax base.
@bradjohnson632215 күн бұрын
That is the way it works buddy, you have to contribute to your community by paying your dues. Being given a chunk of land is a hell of a hand up to anybody willing to get off their ass and put in the sweat equity to help build this country back to the proud, stoic, non-whinny bitch country of the past.
@jaded555912 күн бұрын
Yeah, Kansas is the first state I think of when it comes to tax shenanigans.
@glundgren209712 күн бұрын
@bradjohnson6322 That's hilarious! What about the people that the "community" and public servants evicted from the "free" property?! The "community" and public servants assessed them at a higher rate than they could pay in order to seize their property and gift it to a better tax payer. The mindset of public servants is what has brought western society to the brink of ruin. Your willingness to ignore the long train of abuses and usurpations has allowed this to happen and reveals much about your character as well. Do BETTER!

Way too many "Van Lifer's" are wealthy people treating homelessness like a theme park attraction which makes life for the destitute 10× harder when traditionally safe spaces to sleep either now charge a fee or consider overnight stays as trespassing.
@bereanborn88816 күн бұрын
Don’t blame the Van Lifers for this situation. Living in a van doesn’t make you wealthy but they have a roof over their head. Everyone can choose to change their life. MOVE and be prepared to change your occupation. Buy a older van and turn it into a living space and work your way up. Many are homeless often because they are not prepared to leave an area or make changes to their lives. Many in our country actually choose that lifestyle for an area that is desirable rather than working.
