That's the point, the moment in itself was an abrupt moment in history, it was happening for a vv short amount of time. It would be insignificant without the lead-up to it. What makes the moment so iconic and great is the context in which it happened. It's a tough shot, but if Joe Harris makes it in a game against the Magic in February then no one cares. This series is about contextualizing these great moments, showing off what makes people remember them, not showing off the moment itself. Everyone's already seen this shot a million times.

I remember running around my house banging on walls and celebrating with a minute or so left bc I said that the Spurs would take out Miami at the start of the Season. Snd here it was. They missed the FT’s and I was like, okay, you just needed one more make to win it, but now they just need to rebound the ball. And then they gave up the first rebound and 3 to LeBron and I was like, okay, it’s getting close. Just don’t give up another rebound. Then the Bosh rebound happened and I screamed. Then I saw Allen sliding back for the 3 and in that instant, I knew it was over.

Michael’s was the greatest in terms of solidifying the greatest legacy in NBA . But this was the “best” shot in the sense that it was the greatest clutch shooter of the generation making a shot that would have unquestionably cost them the championship if missed. The stakes don’t get any higher than that. Plus this series was way more exciting than either the 1998 or 2016 Finals (besides each of their respective final games), so that helps.

this the type of stories i would be telling my kids about. I'm really blessed to be a part of that moment. That was a shot for the ages and I watched it live... on TV. But still, will never forget the jumping and shouting after Ray made that shot. Intensity at its highest

I remember this when I was in highscool. It was our recess time and we the boys in the were watching free tv live in our phone which is very popular in the Philippines and when Ray Allen sinks that 3-pointer, we were screaming in happiness and the principal came to our classroom and asks "What the hell is happening!!!?". That a memorable for me and the boys.

michael szlag Great = Value Ray's shot was greater as it saved L3-6rons career. W/o that shot, L3-6ron would be L2-7ron. W/o Kyrie's shot and Ray's, L3-6ron could very well be L1-8ron.

Can we Bosh a lil more credit here. After that clutch rebound he sent a perfect pass right in the breadbasket of one the greatest shooters ever. Not just an epic shot, but a lot could’ve went wrong before Ray even got the ball.

One of those rare moments in sports where I honestly felt like my heart stopped beating to watch the shot for itself for a second there lol That was a fun four year run as a heat fan. It sucks being in purgatory now but as I’m also a dolphins fan who in my 31 years have never been to a super bowl and last made a conference championship when I was a few years old, I feel a lot more appreciative of that 2004-2015 stretch heh
