With the on edibles one, maybe she should try to go spend an afternoon or maybe stay a few nights with her mom to provide some more emotional support. I think it would help both of them feel connected and secure, but I also think that would lessen her calls afterwards. ALSO I found that if you over think “OMGOMGOMG I have to act not high” you work yourself up and are more obvious. Don’t get so high you can’t focus unless you know you’re scot free, but just… vibe. Use the opportunity to let her talk and just be together and you’ll find that answers come easier

My favorite guest so far. There's something about Kwesi that makes you feel so warm and happy but also the vulnerability shared from him and the way he is such a great listener really made me feel like I was in the room with you guys. I hope he can come back on and I'd love any project he chooses to do!

Years ago, I replied to one of kwesi’s stories about how much one of his appearances made my cousin and I laugh and he was so sweet and gracious exchanging a couple humble messages with me. He is nothing but a gold mine of a person. We must protect him forever. I’m like a nobody old mom with 100 followers but he is just a gracious person and I never forget it.

hey guys!! im the squash caller :) i was so nervous about potentially being in this episode because i didn't know how people would react to my situation or find me annoying (i sound like im literally screaming crying throwing up throughout this whole entire call) but you guys are so wonderful and make me giggle and kick my feet. i honestly did not remember what i said in this episode because i was so excited i blacked out, but listening back i remembered that i forgot to mention one of the biggest parts of why i got the ick: squash boy not only was so confident that he was going to win all his matches... but actively talked badly about the other members of the team. basically saying that he believed in himself but nobody else because "everyone else sucks." which, not only is massively gross, but so embarrassing to say after literally everyone else on the team did better than you. to make it even worse, when he lost his second match, he was banging his racquet on the walls and yelling "F***" like a petulant child. it was so incredibly over at that point. bonus: i told him that i wasn't interested beyond a platonic relationship and he responded with the equivalent of "it's cool, i didn't even like you that much anyways" when 2 hours prior he not only told his friends about me, but told me that one of them told him to marry me. so, uh. yeah.

You really sounded adorable in your call, I too am surprised how people are not just like you when they get a call from them.I certainly would be. But it sounds like you missed a huge key detail in the call but understandably so since I'd certainly be forgetful if I heard miles actually talking to me. Hopefully you didn't go, it sounds he's generally a toxic person. It's possible he's over doing it to impress you by saying he's going to win everything but that's going too far by insulting everyone. With the temper tantrums, it's the same issue. But the " "it's cool, i didn't even like you that much anyways" is the icing on the trash cake. That's like a nice guy saying a slew of insults when someone says they're not interested in them. Instead of taking the news lightly understanding that not everyone would be interested in him, he replied with a passive aggressive comment. You really dodged a bullet there but I wonder if I was in the same situation, how many red flags would I put up with before calling it quits since being all high and mighty is one thing but to also trash talk others is too much, on top of everything else you said. This doesn't sound like someone I'd want to know in real life longer than I have to

Ok for the third call: I went through this exact situation. I got mega high and then the cops came by because my best friends moms friend’s husband died (also the neighbour) and we literally had to comfort a grieving woman while totally stoned and also talk to the police. It was insane. Worst time ever and my friend kept almost laughing out of shock while I had a panic attack

Such a fantastic episode! I would personally love to hear Kwesi talk more about dealing with shame, and overcoming that aspect of his trauma. As someone who carries a great deal of shame, and is stuck in the comparison loop, it is invaluable to me to hear someone so grounded and down-to-earth talk about these topics. Love this show. You never know what kind of advice or insight you're going to get. Is it advice about what nibbles to provide during a game night, how to ask for that raise you need, or how to deal with shame? Invaluable and so fun.
