Hi Tax Accountant here and huge Miles Nation fan! Technically, Miles is correct in saying that S-Corps are a way to save you money, but if you’re looking for a way to help you solve your 2022 tax problems, making an S-Corp in 2023 won’t help you. I believe there are tax treaties between US and Canada to avoid double taxation on the income you made in Canada. However you still need to report it on US so you avoid the potential of being audited in the future. I would talk to an accountant or if you’re doing your own taxes on TurboTax, ask a question to the CPA so they can make sure you’re filing correctly. Sending love and peace to you! The tax advice was actually pretty good! I was screaming PAY QUARTERLY TAXES though. Putting the amount you will owe aside from every pay check is good, but paying quarterly is even better so it's not so painful come tax season. It doesn't sound like she qualifies for any of the normal benefits for US expats earning overseas since Canada didn't tax her self-employment income and she spent more than 35 days in the US :( lol first time I've left such a boring comment on a KZbin video

Does your motion sensor have a light that blinks occasionally? Put a mirror in front of it. The motion sensor will sense the light bouncing off of the mirror as real motion and the lights won't turn off anymore. I had to do this at a previous job, because when I left the door to my office open, the door blocked the motion sensor (genius level design right there), so I used some of those 3M strips to stick a hand mirror to the back of the door, so the motion sensor would be fooled into staying on. Eventually building maintenance came through to move the motion sensor out from behind the door, but in the meantime that mirror saved me from working in the dark all the time.

For the sorority question. Leadership drama will always be there. It's the worst but also super common. I'd make your all your convos with them are super public and never in text or email. You don't want things to be taken the wrong way. If, if you want to make things more above board with the panhell chapter on campus. Meet up and give them a heads up about the shirt and bring snacks to there next chapter meeting. I doubt it's an issue but will help if there is. Good luck!!!!!
