I just made these, I used soy milk instead of yogurt or applesauce. They were fabulous; I am trying to resist eating them all. This will be my go to chocolate chip recipe!🥰😋

I was wondering if the recipe needs the cornstarch? I don’t think you use it in the video but it’s listed here. Did I miss it in the video?

Does this recipe call for cornstarch?

Hi do you have a link to your cookie cutter? Thanks for the tip!

Cookies do not spread as much as your cookies in the video. Second batch, I had to decrease the flour and slightly flatten them on the baking tray to get the desired chewy & crispy results

Here's the link to it! It's all written in the recipe card: thebananadiaries.com/simple-vegan-chocolate-chip-cookies/

These look amazing and I’m not even vegan. But, when I clicked on the link for this recipe, the ingredients were different than what you used. ie. amount of butter (& treatment of butter), cornstarch, amount and kinds of chocolate. The finished cookie looks way different too.

How are they gluten-free with AP flour?
@cocomcb2 жыл бұрын
Attempted these last night and sadly, they did not turn out well. They were completely flat when I removed them from the oven. I thought I would end up eating just the chips but they did not have a good flavor, even though the dough itself tasted fine before baking. I followed the recipe as written with 2 exceptions: I did not add any milk because the dough held together very well without it. Also, the dough remained in the refrigerator for 2 days instead on 30 minutes because I forgot about it. Any thoughts on why they ended up flattened? I have a small bowl of dough left and was wondering if I can add anything to get a good turnout for those. For example, more flour? Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

Did you check the expiration date on your baking powder and baking soda?
@cocomcb Жыл бұрын
@@fritzj6803Just now seeing this...thanks for the reply. Yes, I am a stickler when it comes to expiration/best by dates on all of my food items, so I always look at dates, even if I might have just purchased the item and checked before putting it in my basket. 😔

Mine came out ok but they were the opposite of yours- they rose too much. So weird!

Idk about putting in any random 1:1 gluten free flour? 🤔 Each one has different ingredients so it could potentially turn out to be a disaster. Gonna check out the gluten free oat cookies you mentioned.

Gluten free in the title but the first ingredient is all-purpose flour -_-
@AshleyFUnderwood Жыл бұрын
There are three options: all purpose flour, GF flour, or oat flour. You can make it gf by using gf flour.
