Ngl, I feel like being both a guardian and a superhero is just too much for Marinette to handle all by herself at this point. Even when she revealed her identity to Alya who was supposed to be a huge help to her, it still feels like she’s struggling to make the right decisions for her team and keep things under control (like Alya just telling Nino that she’s still Rena Rouge). And with Chat slowly becoming more upset and frustrated, it’s only a matter of time before she loses stability in her relationship with him as well. Gang of Secrets is nothing to the kind of mental breakdown Marinette might have later this season due to all of her problems, and I’m not ready for it in the slightest. Edit: Oh, and one more thing (I need to get this out as much as possible) - I feel like we all have to look at this whole identity situation from the perspective of both characters. Adrien’s POV is that Ladybug is unfairly leaving him in the dark and keeping secrets for no reason that he can discern. And Marinette’s POV is that getting too close or personal about her decisions as Guardian will mean a repeat of Chat Blanc (Sentibubbler confirms that she’s still somewhat traumatized by that encounter). Neither Adrien nor Marinette is right or wrong in this situation; they both have good arguments for their wishes and consequences as well. Some of y’all need to stop taking sides and recollect past events and established plot points in this show; if you do, you’ll see that both Adrien and Marinette are justified in what they’re feeling and doing.

There is just one thing. In Cat Blanc Marinette said that what caused it was the fact that Adrien found out and made it public. She doesn't know Adrien is CN. So how come she could ever think that sharing secrets or even revealing her identity would cause it? More to the point, she knows a very specific event caused CB. She knows the trigger was giving Adrien that signed gift as LB. I don't understand how she could ever think that any interaction between her and CN would cause Chat Blanc. Also her being traumatised is normal because she saw someone she cared about in lot's of pain and rage.

I feel like Chat Noir will reveal his identity soon. I think the emotions of sadness and frustration are building up in him. Eventually, he will crack and reveal his identity to Ladybug because he's sick of being left in the dark. This might happen in episode 22, which probably won't happen, but I think it makes sense. The creators said episode 22 was going to be a big episode, and Chat Noir revealing himself seems big. I also think it makes sense because in the Finale synopsis that was released, they mentioned that Marinette might reveal her identity in order to make Adrien stay. The only reason she would do that is if she knows that Adrien loves Ladybug, otherwise why would she consider doing it. One of the ways that she would find out that Chat Noir loves Ladybug is if Chat Noir revealed himself as Adrien in episode 22, then Ladybug will consider revealing herself.

I feel like the moon also symbolizes Marinette though. Here me out: Because in the main Marichat scenes they are shown together at night under the moon. In the NY special, we had that adrienette dance underneath it and Adrien thinking about Marinette on the plane while looking at it. In Cat Blanc, the moon was in half, destroyed. Nino flat out telling him who he and Alya were was reckless, and it's easy for Adrien to wonder, "Ladybug trusts Nino and Alya.. interesting." He's socially new, he isn't dumb. This episode was fascinating, I loved it, and the twists and turns were good!

This made me realize that Marinette is stronger than alya and nino ....Marinette held in all of her secrets without complaining and bringing out her emotions for one year...while alya on the other hand is just trying to find ways to blurt out to someone about her secret identity...she also snaps at Marinette not realising how in- considerate she was being, and at the end of the episode also ends up telling nino about Rena furitive ....while Marinette held it in for one year!!! And alya could not hold it in for just a few weeks or maybe days,without telling nino, behind marinette's back about her new superhero ego....then we have nino who in the heat of the moment blurted out to Adrien that he is carapace and alya is Rena rouge ...ok telling your identity is one thing ...but telling some body else's identity is another thing, there was no need for him to tell Adrien about Rena's identity.... We also know how much chat /Adrien is suffering ...through this we can conclude that ladybug/marinette and chat noir/Adrien are the strongest characters .....letting nino and alya into the secrets has ruined everything..but on the other hand Marinette needed someone to talk to, but alya is being a bit irresponsible and does not realize the dangers this could lead to(taking that alya does not know about chat blanc),other wise even she would have taken this seriously,just like Marinette,Marinette knew that spilling secrets and being careless will be the end of the world ...but alya thinks that Marinette is worrying too much , and this makes it really look like she does not know about chat blanc yet ...pls don't hate me for criticizing alya and nino,just giving my opinion on this episode...actually its not really criticism just a deep analysis,with a opinion from my perspective...

@@annalopez4383 no. If you're referring to Char Blanc, that's a Gabriel issue that needs to be resolved. If your talking about the duplicate becoming distracted, well they already are. For a while trust meant being able to depend on each other in a battle and respecting each other's secret identities. That was Ladybug's idea of trust. Chat's idea of trust is being trusted with more information. And it's becoming clear that he is trying to earn a different kind of trust than what Ladybug already has given him. I'm not even saying he needs to know her identity. He just needs to know Ladybug is communicating with him.

To be honest, when I saw the Cat Noir watching the moon in the ending card, the first thing that came into my mind was your video on symbolism of moon and Cat Blanc. 😅

A few things I noticed. 1st: How does this show make us react the same we did when we saw avengers end game: i reacted to nino releasing him from shadow moth’s control (still want to call him Hawkmoth) like steve rogers/captain America finally grabbing Thor’s hammer. Ahhhhhh! It was so epic. Is this show becoming our next MCU. I know this show may not be as good as Marvel but it is beginning to have the same feel. Complex themes, characters, emotions, storylines. 2: cat noir being in the corner (did not pick this up at first because of my many many emotions so thank you for that) gradually mirrors cat noir being in the dark grey secrion with hawkmoth in earlier seasons at the end of the theme song. 3: while many of us hate the musical episode, there is one scene that gets me to this day. When cat noir cataclysmed his photo of Adrien. He basically metaphorically and almost literally killed himself. That is dark and tragic. The fact he feels so alone that he has this self-hatred of himself. How does he get up in the morning and face life with never ending optimism. 4: for the first time ever, cat noir looked miserable when transforming. He usually is so excited and has this proud/excited face when he transforms. This time, he was just sad. I can’t imagine fighting tour best friend especially when he wants to literally kill his alter ego. Dang! 5: when he dropped the staff, I just could not believe it. Says so much about who he is. Lastly, why can’t Adrien and Nino both reveal their identities to each other and be like Alya and marionette. I wanted this reveal forever. It will strengthen Nino’s and Adrien’s bond. Imagine the fun they can have not just fighting together, but having fun as their alter egos. They can trust each other and release some of the tension.

Okay, now you’re perspective is making me go crazy because I didn’t realize that everyone is now keeping secrets between each other. And wow, I’m just now realizing that all four of them have an arc in the season (I’m just hoping Nino has as much appearance as Alya). Now I’m hoping that in the future, all four of them will realize each other’s identities and how much they hurt each other with their actions (except Cat Noir because he had a good reason that he couldn’t tell Ladybug that he knew everything because he heard it from Nino, who told Adrien). What’s funny, actually, is that out of everyone, Cat Noir is the only one whose holding secret for good reason, which is to keep his own identity a secret since only Adrien knows the information from Nino. The others, they’re holding the important informations a secret out of their own free wills. I just had a thought- What if in the next episode's end card we see cat noir looking at the moon again but he looks a bit sadder and the moon is cracking slightly. Then that carries on until the episode/episode before he snaps and the moon is fully destroyed , perhaps in the same way as in Chat Blanc, symbolising his akumatization. Or because the moon symbolises Marinette, maybe just before the moon is fully destroyed we have an episode where she's the one who saves him from being akumatized. And then in that episode's end card she and cat noir are hugging with an intact, shining moon above them?? Here is my Nino post. 1: lived the film noir detective thing. 2: i felt so bad for him. I observed what happens with adultery and ai cannot blame him for being hurt when he thought there was something going on. I am not saying kill someone for it, but I can see how someone can go that place when they feel that betrayed. 3: i love that alya and Nino have an honest and mature relationship. It os one of the healthiest on this show. No person or couple is perfect. People make mistakes. 4: while there are mixed reactions to Nino revealing Alya’s identity, I am hlad he did. He held this in for a year and he was going through a rough time and needed his best friend. It is a parallel to marionette telling Alya. Why is Marionette being praised for it (no offense, love you Marionette) while some hate Nino for it. Weird double standard. Different pressures and different situations, but same result. Adrien needed to hear this. Now he knows why rena rouge and ladybug are so close. I feel so bad that he is left out if literally everything. I get the purpose but why dump almost all of the bad stuff onto him. At least he knows Nino can confide and and trust him when many people don’t which is a sad sad shame. 5: I am so shocked that Nino went to the bad place trying to kill someone. No longer a kid’s show people. It may never have been, bit now it is getting too dark for kids. All in all, if you made it this far, for people who disagree with me on Nino, give him break. He is human and I do not think he deserves the hate.

I'm pretty indifferent about this ep, and nino kinda ruined his reputation in my opinion, but I do believe that this episode is contributing to future ones. With the knowledge that wishmaker comes after this, it could be an opportunity for that argument that we expect, and we might not see cat blanc after all. We could have cat bring it up after battle only for lb to explain that it's not safe for them to reveal there identities and not explain why, leading cat noir to getting akumatized. *I also would like to think that wishmakers power would be to make his own wishes come true or something to that extent

YES!! I was really disappointed in Alya for telling Nino esp after asking Mari if she trusts her. Like REALLY?? I thought it was unfair to Mari and Adrien who've had to keep their identity under wraps for so long and lie to everyone and she couldnt do the same? So remember in Gang of Secrets where Mari was breaking and feeling like she had no one to talk to, she told Alya that she's Ladybug and they've become a lot closer now. I'm not saying the same thing will happen to Chat, but maybe he loses trust in Ladybug and possibly stops having feelings for her. He might start to visit Marinette for advice or to take his mind off things and Ladybug and he may grow feelings for her so maybe we can see Marichat from this angle if you think about it in my point of view.

To be honest, Ladynoir breaking apart will only lead to it's reunion ten times stronger than before. This is, in one way good for the LadyNoir ship. Don't think that LadyNoir and Adrienette are the same. Two people, each with a different persona make up their respective ship. LadyNoir is a ship between the true Adrien and confident Marinette whereas Adrienette is the ship between oblivious Adrien and shy Marinette. As I was saying, if LadyNoir starts to break away, it may seem bad at first, but in the end, a certain factor plays an important role: Realization. In Marinette's case, she needs to realize that she can't take the burden all by herself and she can use Cat Noir to help her lift some of the burden off her shoulders. By pushing Cat Noir further and further into the dark, she will only break their relationship away as crime-fighting partners. Soon enough, Cat Noir stops putting his trust into Ladybug by telling her that keeping secrets from him will not help their situation any less. He leaves her and goes his own way, no longer working alongside Ladybug. I actually want something like this to happen so that Marinette has to realize that she is hurting Cat Noir by lying to him and by keeping him in the dark all the time. Once she does so, she searches for Cat Noir and tells him everything, her identity, the truth, everything that has secretly happened up until now. I believe better teamwork can happen if they are fully aware of the situation. RIght now, as you said, it's all a mess and it's the perfect thing for Hawkmoth to use for his own advantage. I can't wait to see where all this ends up.

Although the previous guardian, master fu, told them not to reveal their identities is it that bad that Marinette and Adrian cant know each other's identities? Think about it, the alibis and excuses they could come up with to fill in each other when an Akuma appears. [of course, Nino and Alya should also know since the four of them know a secret from one or the other, but that's for another discussion]. Knowing their identities could help both of them come up with more detailed plans. Chat can help with Ladybug's responsibilities as a hero and as a civilian. It also means more time to be together. They could be more comfortable with one another and have less time doubting each other. It doesn't mean that they have to reveal themselves to Hawkmoth. Like Hawkmoth [Gabriel] and Mayura [Nathalie], they don't reveal themselves to their enemy. What I'm suggesting is that if they reveal themselves, wouldn't it be more rational to have them keeping tabs on each other without even being suspicious. Another, now that master fu is out of their circle, wouldn't it be better if they reveal their secrets to each other. Think about the potions they would use, master fu was strict to the kwamis about knowing the ingredients to power so if Marinette gave Adrian the potions he needed, aren't they transformed as Chat Noir? and that the kwamis could [possibly] hear them. What if one of them happened to get captured? It'll be over especially now that Gabriel is mixing his own potions. I think that master fu's ideology is true but is it not too traditional? I'm not opposing him because I get his point [especially the chat blanc episode I think Marinette was and has always been scared of happening that again] yet, I also want to think outside that box. Just like what master fu said, there is a right time for everything. Ever since season 2, chat noir has become frustrated about knowing nothing. Isn't it the right time for Ladybug to confront Chat? For so long, Marinette had to carry her duties simultaneously, it's only a matter of time before she crumbles. Just as master fu revealed himself to Marinette, wouldn't it be better for her partner to know too? Without firmer and wiser support, it is hard to control everything under her wing. This only adds to the reason why she should talk about her alter ego with her partner. Due to frustrations from both of them, one way or another, someone would give in and reveal themselves. The most perceivable problem is that Hawkmoth knows that Ladybug is the new guardian. If people know Marinette's secret then she'll be in grave danger just as the others. If Adrien knows his lady's identification, wouldn't he be more protective than he is? It could lead to a misunderstanding of how he's too protective and how Mari's too carefree. If that happens, something big might happen to upset the timeline causing Bunnix to make an appearance once again. The most probable action to take is careful talks and walks about everything considering that most of the akumatized people do not have the charm to protect themselves from hawkmoth. Now and then, it would be much harder to grasp the It's risky but revealing their identities could possibly help Marinette for the greater good. Every action has an equal reaction, they must be ready for the fire back if they ever revealed themselves to one another.

I'm just so glad the episodes in this season focus less on the fights and more on the stories and lives of our characters when they are not transformed. Like idk if anyone already talked about it but the akuma fights feel/are definitely shorter. Which is one reason why I love this episode so much.
