One thing that Marinette hasn't realized yet is that as the Guardian, she does not have the right to know Cat Noir's identity: she has the obligation to know it. She absolutely must know it, so that if he should be incapacitated or otherwise unavailable she can go to him and appoint a substitute pro tem, or if something more drastic occurs to make him unfit for the role, she can take back his Miraculous entirely.

But, I do think that after they make up, their relationship will be stronger And they'll be closer than ever before. Angst is also necessary for the development of the love square. Ladynoir has the closest bond out of all other love square ships, so I think they do need an argument to strengthen their bond

For the end of S4, I think Gabriel is gonna try to akumatise Marinette again, he's gonna fail. Adrienette confession, fluffy scenes etc, etc. Akuma attack, maybe it's Lila who's the akuma because she's angry that Marinette finally got to confess to Adrien. And then the part where it's the last attack of Shadowmoth, either Nathalie is gonna heal herself (because they have a translated copy of the Grimoire) or Gabriel's gonna give the Peacock Miraculous to Lila or Chloe (she gave Sabrina a similar brooch to the one Émilie wears). Post end card scene where Adrien is clued in that Gabriel is Hawky or Gabriel just straight up tells Adrien... Or I'm just crazy...

I don't think there's gonna be a reveal. It's too early. I think Ladynoir will be doomed because of the argument. Cat Noir will probably not trust Ladybug anymore. Not as much as he used to anyway. And as Feri Gonzalez said, he's going to get further away from the team of superheroes, so... he could become his own hero. Due to the pressure, Marinette is the perfect akuma victim now and could easily be akumatized to Princess Justice. That could force Cat Noir to cooperate just to save her, but then, he could abandon the other heroes and be a hero of his own. It could happen. I can't be sure, but there's a possibility. Still it's not too probable because as usual Tomas Astruc hates giving character development to Cat Noir. That's my theory

The basic dynamic of Ladynoir is the relationship of "Love you and hate you" and the only way they can develop is having a fight and growing stronger and closer that they have been ever before. Glaciator, Syren, Frozer you name it. So I want them to fight again in season 4 which could be the turning point in their relationship which will be great for the future of love square.

I agree. I think Ladybug avoids conversation because she feels safe if it’s not brought up. Mentally, talking about your emotions are important but for it’s probably too much, with all that she’s dealing with and trying to be a teenager. I think at the end of the season, we will be left with a cliffhanger where Ladybug and Chat Noir find out the identity of Hawkmoth which may cause a ChatBlanc moment. Also, I think Adrienette and LadyNoir will occur but there will be trust issues.

I loved your theories and I think I may have an idea for the ending. Now as you said, this miscommunication is building up tensions between Ladybug and Cat Noir, and the longer it goes on, the longer it could take to heal from such actions. Maybe in episode 100 of Miraculous Ladybug and Cat Noir/22 of season season 4, we will get that argument (as long as it’s not a flashback episode like in season 3, I’m good with it). But that’s still a long way from Optigami and SentiBubbler, which are respectively episodes 13 and 14. At that point, the tension is so thick it’ll need Cat Noir to perform cataclysm to break it. Plus, such an argument that big can’t be realistically resolved in one episode. Unless it continues on in ep 23, 24, and especially the finale. Now my idea for what could happen in the finale that follows along with the finale is that maybe Adrien actually decides to just go along with going on the trip for his father’s company. Because if he keeps being sidelined/not needed to battle the Akuma, maybe Adrien will feel like he is not needed in Paris right now and he can just go along with his father’s wish without protest. Maybe the whole standing up to his father will probably be for something else, like how he’s uncomfortable around Lila and her touching (even if it’s a kid’s cartoon, that’s still sexual assault) or maybe his father forbiddens him from talking to his friends even on breaks during the trip. Or, and this is my biggest theory out of the options, maybe Adrien will decide to stay in Paris after Marinette confessed to him that gives him a reason to stay and fight (that would be cool for all Adrienette fans). This theory turned out longer than I thought, but I love theories as much as you do.

This would probably not happen, but I would really like to see Marinette get akumatized because Chat left her after a big argument. Just imagine her being already stressed out about being the guardian and then having her trusted partner who was always there for her leave. Marinette knows that she feels awful and has a risk of getting akumatized, so she gives Tiki the earrings asking her to bring them to Alya and hide the miracle box somewhere she wouldn't find it. When Marinette gets akumatized Alya tries to come up with an excuse why Ladybug isn't there. This makes Chat Noir more angry, but he is too determined to get Marinette back because he saw it happen, so he doesn't let the bad emotions get the best of him. (also having a little scene where Marinette judges Hawkmoth for the outfit she is wearing) After Marinette gets saved, Chat Noir comes to check up on her, that's when she tells him everything and they talk things through ending the episode with Chat revealing himself to Marinette.

At the end of S4, I think we're going to see the defeat of Hawk Moth. I also think that Cat Noir and Ladybug will get into a big argument and then make up in the finale. Once they return to normal, Marinette is talking to Alya and realizes her newfound feelings for Cat Noir. As for Adrien, he's chatting with Plagg and sees a picture of all his friends. His eyes land on Marinette, and he thinks she is cute before Plagg states to him that he probably likes her. Before Adrien can completely say that she is "Just a friend", he stops and comes to the conclusion at he loves her, not just as a friend. Then, as the episode is ending, Felix or Lila end up finding the butterfly miraculous and then season 4 ends just like that. As for the next season, I genuinely hope that there's a time skip. I know someone mentioned this already, but it would be best to see how far the characters have grown and have flashbacks before where the characters leave off post season 4 and before season 5. If this happens, we will get to see what happens with each other. For instance, Marinette becoming a fashion designer, Alya becoming a well known blogger or news reporter, Adrien continuing to model and becoming well known throughout the world, and Nino becoming a director. It would be cool if Felix or Lila got the butterfly miraculous and started to train with it for a few years before deciding to use it. This would end up forcing Marinette and Adrien to return as Ladybug and Cat Noir. But, this is someone else's theory, not mine. I hope this one comes true because it is a good theory

I’ve said this before, but I hope that out of all of this confusion, miscommunication, and isolation, Chat Noir will mature as a character. I’d say that Adrien’s flawed side comes out as Chat Noir because in the same way that Marinette has poor control over emotions, Chat, as we saw in Sentibubbler, can be reckless if his emotions get the best of him. I mean, imagine if there was no way to repair damage! I still feel like he probably would have smashed that wall to pieces. What I hope is that this side of Adrien will begin to mature and start to be more of a partner to Ladybug than he was before (not to say that we wasn’t important of course, but his desire for freedom and fun always overruled his duties as a superhero). Now, maybe he’ll start being more active in his role because he doesn’t want Ladybug to lose her respect and trust in him. And I liked the point you addressed about Marinette’s biggest character flaw because there are monumental things in the series that have been affected by that. Marinette may have Mary-suish characteristics, but she still has flaws that affect the story in profound ways, and some people still don’t seem to understand that.

My guess is that by the end of the season (as Natalie told Gabriel that Ladybug would slip up and make a mistake) I believe that she already made that mistake by telling Alya that she is Ladybug. Since Ladybug and Cat Noir have been partners for so long that they trust each other but not enough to trust each other with their own identities, Cat Noir will find out that Ladybug revealed her identity to Alya. This will break Cat Noir and make him feel like he was betrayed because Ladybug revealed her identity to Alya rather than him. Due to this the bond between them will most likely be broken and all sense of trust between the two of them will be gone. The season will probably end in 2 ways. One, Cat Noir, now filled with anger and hatred towards Ladybug, will probably become akumatized and Cat Blanc will return to join Shadow Moth. Or two, Adrien will just straight up reveal himself to Ladybug only to then give up his Miraculous to her and stop being Cat Noir. Leaving the season ending on a cliffhanger. That is just my guess on how the season will end.

I think for the end of season 4, Shadowmoth will try out his new masterplan only for it to backfire, causing him to lose either the peacock miraculous (making him Hawkmoth again), or the butterfly miraculous (making him only the holder of the peacock miraculous). After that he might find out Cat Noir's identity somehow (maybe because of the side effects of the akumatized villain he had). But anyways, whatever it is, I seriously doubt that Gabriel will be fully defeated this season finale. The name of the finale is "The Last Attack of *Shadowmoth*" not Hawkmoth or Gabriel Agreste, which could mean that this'll be the last time we see Gabriel wearing *both* the peacock and the butterfly miraculous at the same time, but it doesn't necessarily mean he'll finally lose.

Hi! May I request a video of elaboration of Chat Noir/Adrien’s depression? In Guiltrip, he literally attempted suicide by cataclysming himself. Sure, it was under the influence of the spell he was put under, but it brought out the deepest and darkest parts of him. No one else tried to kill themselves, they only felt bad about certain things. And Chat seemed to summon the cataclysm lazily, as if it was no big deal. And from the fact that he has 0 self preservation whatsoever no matter the situation, and the amount of times he sacrificed himself (sometimes even when it wasn’t necessary), the episode confirmed my suspicions that he was suicidal. Especially since Chat Noir is the *real* Adrien Agreste, not the happy persona he put up in his civilian form. And recently, in Rocketear, I couldn’t help but wonder if his words “even I have doubts” could have a deeper meaning. As in, other than doubting LB, he was also doubting basically everything else in the world. And even in Chat Blanc, we see him trying to kill himself with cataclysm *after* he was akumatized, and that was what ultimately led to the destruction of Paris. Plus, I couldn’t help but notice, CN has been cracking a LOT less jokes lately. Despite the fact that little screen time could contribute to that, it still doesn’t feel like our beloved character in a normal situation. That’s what I hope would happen by the end of the season. That we see more of Adrien Agreste/Chat Noir’s true character. That we see deeper character development more of his past and present. And also because I believe that elaboration on a serious topic is very important, especially in a show that was originally intended for young children.

I think that it is likely that there will be a half sided reveal. Probably in the season finale. I think that Cat Noir will get fed up with all of the lies and secrets. And that maybe after an argument he will show Ladybug who he is. She probably won't be able to process it right away and will ask him to give her some time to think. I do think that during a previous argument she will break down and tell him exactly what happened with Cat Blanc and that that is why they can't reveal their identities.

Another theory is Marinette finally confessing her feelings to Adrien. I mean, he’s about to leave for NY with Lila, and there would be no better time to finally get her chance to tell him. Its best to do it before he goes away with a completely other girl who’s also crazy about him. Ever since Mr. Pigeon 72, I had a small feeling that Adrien’s feelings toward Marinette are true. And if you think about it, during the Chat Blanc episode Adrien says “I’ve realized that you’re not just a friend to me, I’ve always felt like you were more than that.” Surely that has some relevance. Maybe when Marinette confesses to Adrien, he realizes he feels the same way. Obviously this would make Lila very angry, and she could most likely be akumatized into a very powerful villain that’s putting Adrien in danger, causing Shadowmoth to realize that while he still wants his wife back, his son’s safety could be the cost, hence “The Last Attack of Shadowmoth”.

My theory or what I would really like to see is sth like LB and ChatBlanc(!) fight. Like something hapens which is the last straw of patience for CN- and he gets acumatised. This time LB has really hard time to defeat him as he gets acumatised by free will- to destroy her. When she finally wins, Chatnoir now deacumatised still resents her, saying he no longer trust her and that he wont be her partner anymore. Then several options could be possible: a. LADYNOIR reveal- leading to Adrinette: LB is heartbroken after the fight, realising that she again lost CN- this time permanently - realising she loves him. And she appologises and totaly crushed makes the reveal to him ("It doesnt matter anymore - I can't be LB without YOU"). CN is so amaized and as he still loves her he also makes the reveal. b. MariBlanc- Marichat - adrinette LB fails to defeat CB- before he takes her earings she says: "It doesnt matter anymore - I can't be LB without YOU" he takes her earings and then she detransform- making the reveal. CB is so shocked tha he succedes to deacumise himselve. Then makes the reveal to Marinette. Edit: version bb.(more probable): ladybug admits CB that she loves him, which makes him stop and that he breaks free of acuma (as already seen in recent episode) c. MARICHAT- Ladynoir- Adrinette After the fight, CN goes to Marinette for support, againg saying that's it's over between him and LB. Marinette is heartbroken which makes her to apologise to him and also revealing her as LB. CN is stunned, doesn't hessitate and reveals his identity as Adrien. LB detransforms. Double reveal🤩 d.ADRINETTE - leading to Ladynoir After the fight, CN detransform and goes to Marinette as Adrien for support. He confesses that he was in love with LB and that he is now heartbroken as she doesn't trust her anymore. Making the reveal to Marinette that he is Chat Noir. Marinette is shocked and starts to cry. Admiting to surprised CN that she is Ladybug - she transforms. They hug realising they were rejecting eachother FOR eachother - and that there wont be any more secrets between them. I hope my writing makes sense. And there could be tons of other possible outcomes.😊

I have a theory but idk if it’s logical. My theory is that, as you said, the big fight between Ladybug and Catnoir may happen in episode 22 (the 100th episode). And you also explained that she is hiding the fact that she told Rena or Alya her identity and that Cat Blanc happened. Although it makes sense that episode 22 may lead to the big fight, but maybe the fight would actually be episode 21 and 22 could be her getting akumatized because of the fight and her fear of Cat Blanc happening again! As we saw in Sentibubbler, she still remembers Cat Blanc and is pretty much traumatized by it. In the same episode, we see Catnoir getting mad because he’s being left out; and in the fight, he might point out that she’s always doing stuff with Rena and leaving him in the dust which may lead him to finding out that Rena Rouge probably knows Ladybugs Identity. In the fight he will most likely tell Ladybug that he found out and will call her out because of it. He might think that she’s doing stuff behind his back without him knowing and will probably lose her trust. That’s gonna hit Ladybug really hard and she might question herself and her loyalty to her partner; all that could remind her of Cat Blanc and at that moment she will realize how much she really cares about him or as you might say, how much she actually LOVES him. Then she’ll know how much she really messed up and, well, she’ll get akumatized. Maybe all this could be in episode 22, and the akumatized person is her, but I feel like it’s too much for just 1 episode. It could be in 1 episode but idk. Anyways this is my theory, and it’s probably wrong but if you read this far then thanks😊

For the end of S4, I think that the argument will lead to tension in the friendship and lack of teamwork. I think that Shadowmoth will notice that somethings off and use this to his advantage, this ultimately leading to the reveal in the 100th episode. Then I think the final episodes will be focused on the fallout of the reveal. For example, the awkwardness, the shock, and the way they feel about each other. Though they will have to put it all past them so they can focus on stopping whatever Shadowmoth has planned. However by ignoring all their feelings and the tension, it only makes it worse, and something bad is going to happen to Ladybug, and Alya will have to step up and use what Marinette has taught her. Or something along these lines.

My theory for the end of the season, is- Shadow Moth will be defeated, Gabriel's identity revealed, and he won't be a super villain anymore. Maybe he flees, maybe he's put behind bars. Marinette realizes that since Shadow Moth made her take risks, anything could have happened, to her loved ones, to her Adrien. She realizes that what Chat Noir while fighting the Puppeteer 2.0said was true- "It is precisely when something is important that it's important to say it, no matter what." She confesses to Adrien. (In the rain, yada yada) Adrien says he doesn't like her like that... (because he thinks he loves ladybug) Marinette is miserable, well, obviously, but starts to see a softer, more compassionate side of Chat Noir. Adrien (Chat Noir) starts to see Marinette differently, now that she is falling in love with Chat and express her emotions properly in front of Adrien. AND REVERSE LOVE SQUARE.... ACTION! What i think what will happen at the end of season 4 is that ladynoir will have a full blown argument and then cat noir would threaten to give up his miraculous (a bit like in the nyc) and then ladybug couldn't let him do that because she knows deep down that she can trust him so then she will say everything to cat noir without thinking it though like telling rena her true identity and that she gave rena the fox miraculous permanently and what happened in cat blanc etc.. But to be honest i dont think marinette thought it through telling alya her true identity because she was kinda in an emotional crisis and then cat noir would question everything🤨

This isn’t my strongest theory for the end of the season but it is an interesting one. Even though I know this show is extremely slow burn I think we could be getting our reveal. If the Ladynoir fights ends up happening on the last episode, perhaps Chat Noir will lash out and renounce his miraculous, causing Ladybug to find out it was Adrien all along. As he leaves for New York with Lila, maybe we will get a similar scene to what happened in the NY special, when Marinette is chasing Adrien. Maybe this time she will catch up to him and offer his miraculous back, with an apology and a full on rant about how much Chat Noir means to her and how she needs him. Maybe they will resolve and we could be left on a cliffhanger for s5? It sounds crazy, but it’s pretty interesting to think about :)

Oh man, such a great analysis. I always said that Chat was getting replaced by Rena but not in the sense of the show, but as a plot point. As a way to take the Ladynoir trust and dynamic to it's breaking point, have those important conversations and then begin to build something better. The only thing that bothers me about all of this is the anti-akuma charms. They bring a giant 'WTF?' into her whole Chat Blanc fear if that is her excuse. Of course fear and trauma are not logical, but it does take away from that awesome idea if you are just screaming 'give him a freaking charm, problem solved!'.

well it wasn't that much a surprise that alya was the first one to know marinett secret identity. cause marinett decided to use her miraculous to protect alya in stone heart. and she was the first one who convinced her to be strong. and about chatblanc theres something that most of the fans forget about this episode and that's the reason that chat blanc happened. and the fact that marinett doesn't have any idea why it happened exactly. she thought Adrien was leaked her identity and it caused chat to being akumatized after being rejected by marinett this time. but she doesn't know that the reason chat blanc happened was Adrien tried to protect her but unfortunately his identity revealed to wrong persons. chatblanc incident was a nightmare but it happened by a really beautiful love story and sacrifice. and as we saw till now in this season and casts said Adrien will get lots of emotional impacts in sentibubbler and rocketear. currently Adrien attempted to give up his miraculous first time master stopped him and marinett was away second time he renounced plag and ran while crying when there was only a wall between them. I think this Time he might renounce plag infront of ladybug and try to give his miraculous back

They said that the reveal will happen in season 5. I think cat noir will be cat blanc. The tragic side of me believes if this does happen, he may come back as cat noir with some help but his personality will change. He will gradually grow more dark and may fight for the wrong side.
