Great talk Molly. This was really a slap in the face for me. I would see those at college thriving and I always have this mindset that they're doing better than me because they're "better and faster" than me at learning without much effort. But they're probably been developing these skills since kindergarten with grit and perseverance and they do put a lot more effort into it than I do. Thank you so much, I've learned a lot from you + I'll share this with everybody. Best wishes!

She is so right. I’m training for a half ironman triathlon. At my age it’s a long road and I know the celebration after crossing the finish line is a short lived event. I like what this says about the role of a relationship within yourself. Fostering a connection to your higher self and being your own competitor. Learning to drive your own behaviour for performance and in life. There are two integral parts of me in simple terms. What I do and what I don't do contributes to the quality of my life. Listening to others and observing contributes to teachings of life. Basically you have to get out of your own way.

In realising the importance of growth mindset, I'd like to remind myself the mind is not the master and my thoughts are nothing without discipline, practise and routine. I have to train my mind like I train my body. What's most important to me is flow, inner core strength and mother nature. It is my heart and soul that guides me and my brain and body require instructions.
