Heath I recently found your video. I have some very early 1900's topo maps of my area and followed your instructions on using them with the software. WOW! My area covers a ton of Rev War and civil war locations. It will prove invaluable to me in the field for locating sites to detect! Thanks so much for uploading this.

Maybe when the pin on the current map is off a little, maybe the road has slightly changed location through the years. Example; That could put the old homestead under the parking lot instead of the patch of grass? Just a thought?

Unfortunately, to make your own map is PC only. The company that makes it has said they do not have any plans to release a iOS version any time soon. If you have some amazing maps it may be worth getting a cheap PC. I have friends that purchases some $250 PCs just for this.

Yes you can. You just need to make sure the file size and max size is all in line with what they allow. You can find that info on the maprika site.

Wrong, it is easier on the phone, second orient your map to what google looks like in same direction
@HistorySeekers

It may be easier on the phone but the level of accuracy based on the phones GPS and can be harder to get down to the highest zoom. While it will get you very close. The highest levels of accuracy are better achieved on the computer. We have tested it for many years.
