I think only the early production models had the fuse map sadly. Info in the owners manual though.

Andy Kirwan that’s a real shame Andy. The map being on the main fuse box is one of those rare examples of some one thinking about how and when will a non professional end user actually use this unit. Ie The first time they ever look at it is when they need to replace a fuse, it may be at the side of the road it may be dark. ‘Now where is my manual, wish I had some fuses. Does anyone have some tweezers!😄’ Thanks for your continued and valued input Andy.

At least I know where the fuse puller is meant to be stowed now. 👍🏻 I put mine in the fuse box. It must have fallen out the lid.

Hello John, XK8 Coupe/Blue 1998, I am looking for a engine bay fuse MAP, located in the boot, the lid has no MAP on top, much appreciate. * Suddenly in the past weeks (off-road parking)Tiny micro blistering rust forming over bonnet,hood and the rear lid, is there any preventative measurements that I could follow please.

Hi FJ The Map was in cars until about 1999 when along with a lot of other things it was deleted as a way of saving a little bit of money. I suggest you may have the lid from a new car. Maybe search the Jaguar breakers for a 2nd hand one. The Body issue sounds like 'Fallout'. Tiny iron particles which falls dust or in the rain ontothe car from industrial atmospheres (railway lines steel mills etc (anything dusty and metallic. Very fine ferrous dust like this clings to the paint and as it oxidises it grips more tightly leaving tiny rusty specks on your car. You should try a Fallout remover spray. These are actually quite interesting to use as you squirt them onto the bodywork as a clear liquid and they react with the iron dust to effectively dissolve it and the reaction turns the liquid purple. It makes your car look like its bleeding from its pores. Its readily available even through shops such as Halfords. A brand I like is Bilt Hamber and I think they call their fallout remover KORROSOL Here is a link amzn.to/2XylIPz There are plenty of other brands available though. Once you have the condition corrected get some good quality Wax on the car and if the iron lands on it again it should not embed itself👍

Unfortunately my 2003 doesn't have the map. I do have the spares though but no tweezers.

Another example of the later cars loosing all the 'unnecessary' little items.😢 Cost down is obviously important, but such a shame.

Looks like it genuinely was just the first couple off years. Shame🤔. If we knew that the fuse box maps 'should' be the same then maybe we could get some made up as so many people have not got one and wish that they have.
