My children played War Hammer. I never was interested in it, but I can recognise skill when I look at your painting

Honestly there are some people out there who paint Warhammer at a level that I can't even understand, the lighting effects and details are beyond my ability to visualise in the first place, never mind paint it onto tiny figures!

Thanks for the 40K video Dan! Great work on the terrain painting. My friend and I play and sadly we usually still resort to tin cans, legos and crudely cut insulation foam as terrain still hahaha. Have you been expanding your armies at all?

Haha, sometimes the simpler things work best...and they certainly don't require you to remortgage to buy! (I am still in shock from looking up some of the current official retail prices for kill teams!) I haven't done much at all with Warhammer for ages sadly... there is always something else going on it seems! Although I have got lots of footage to edit into short, concise videos like this... I am hoping I have some footage of my Grey Knights during painting but I have a feeling the videos are lost! They nearly brought me to tears when I was doing layer after layer of basically the same colour paint! 😂

@@SortOfInteresting 100% agreed simpler things work best. It's funny because my friend and I played when we were kids, and dreamed of the day that we could have adult money to put into the hobby. Now that we're well into our adult years we have other time commitments and responsibilities that still keep us from getting as deep into it as we'd like. It most definitely goes without saying that hobbies that bring us joy are things we need to prioritize with our free time and really make an effort to get the most out of them. Definitely inspired me to get my dusty bare plastic chaos marines out and give them a good layer or three of paint! Grey Nights are such a cool army but yeah I can definitely see how "just one more thin coat of silver to get them just right" would get a touch tedious after a while haha. Looking forward to the next hobby video!

Yes! I once saw an image of a triangle saying you could only ever have two at the sane time... the corners were "Time, Money & Motivation!"
