I would hire this man as personal security. He's definitely one of the good ones. Talk about job well done!

As another security guard, I had to deal with it almost every night. But at same time, I didn't mind doing it, Even though we all make joke about situations like that and others. Some people will think we are mean, but after doing everything right, we all can't understand why people do that to themselves. We start to creat mean jokes to stay sane in a job where we deal with things that don't make sense

@@pdzh just going out of your way to do your best to keep people safe (even if they're reckless) is very noble. A lot of security guards want to take any opportunity to be cruel or punishing to people in such a low place. They lack empathy and ethics and don't consider times they themselves have fallen apart for whatever reason and had others nearby who either took care and looked out for them, or perhaps didn't and something bad happened that they could have helped prevent while they were down. Some people haven't ever experienced the worst that a situation like that could easily lead to because they've always had someone who looked out for them. To me that just shows they weren't taught about dangers and wouldn't ever feel the need to hold their own. It's that dark moment you don't believe is so very real until it happens to you. Those of us who have experienced the bad should never leave someone to learn the hard way when we know the dangers around. No matter what landed them in the situation, I hope always for brotherly love and sensibility to prevail and step in to promote peace in all moments like this. Also, we live in scary times and it is all too often someone could be drugged and robbed and ditched and judgemental fools would just treat them like stupid drunk trash that should know better than to go so far past their controllable limits. The saddest thing is how easy it is to just desperately cling to denial and accept the abusive dismissal of concern from others and let you too blame yourself. No one likes admitting that they were someone's victim. That guard could have been lazy and unkind and just called the cops to add more ruin to the individual Rather than do what they can to help them just get to safety. Also, it never hurts to have a good reputation within the community you serve and or live. Even if you're only doing good deeds to make yourself looks shiny to the masses, that's still a perfectly acceptable reason to be someone's hero whenever the opportunity arises. When others think you're great, you might just convince yourself of that greatness along the way.

@@holmcm751 too long to read, but when it comes to empathy, I will give you this. If the person shows up at my place that I guard and needs help, I will help, if they come back later and need more help, I will help, however if they keep doing that to themselves and keep coming to me for help, that is where I draw the line. I am very willing to help, but not enable you doing horrible things to yourself. I will start kicking people out of private property if they do that to themselves and I see them every other night, regardless of how that looks from someone with a cellphone.

@@pdzh yeah, sorry bro. My ADHD takes over hardcore sometimes (too often) and I forget what I'm doing and just ramble on. It seems you got the gist of it. I appreciate your commitment to the job. Some people don't take security seriously. Even if they're hired for the position. Be safe! 💪😎😘

I have been near that before but not outside asleep, that is a bad position to be in. Makes me happy I am quitting drinking and not going back to that life as long as I can help it. These nights are no fun, the next day is even worse when the hangover kicks in. First dude could have been taken to the hospital as bad as he was.
