This is pretty useful, I work Security at a casino and it’s really effective in keeping them restrained while keeping other guests safe, highly recommend consistently practicing or it could go south fast

this is my number one problem with the security industry. there is either no training or in adequate training. They keep you in this grey area of enforcing rules of and establishment and worrying about liability. With proper training I believe liability can be minimized.

Thank you so much for this information! I am a Security Counselor and on what we call "A-Team"(the name kind of says it but we are the responders to incidents). Anyway, I am female so shorter than most. Most of the guys I work with are very tall. When showing me control tactics and restraints maneuvers, they did a wonderful job. However, being they are all tall some of the moves they showed me just didn't work for me. I just tried the move at 1:55 on a friend of mine and it was perfect! I feel much more comfortable and confident in doing my duties! I will be checking out more of your videos for sure!!! THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!

I find distracting them when they are struggling to apply a lock works well. For instance a strike to their shin will distract long enough to apply a wrist lock or arm/elbow lock but my favourite is thumb locks people just dont see those coming.

Over the last 20 years i have found many occassions to double team resisting suspects,single handedly strike them to soft tissue areas,surprise them with speed and skill to overcome their strength,anger drugged and intoxicated state.I also have found myself in bad situations were i disengage and reevaluate,or strike/choke them unconcious.

Im a 2nd Degree Black belt in Juijitsu. These locks arent bad. In fact I've used these locks and more before in a bar, because im also a Bouncer. But u have to show those guys how to work those locks against a punch, and against a lapel grab. Things can go Kinetic very very quickly. Trust me, I know!.

As a PCO i use similar techniques but the C+R instructors get upset and tell me not to use these techniques!

What is their reasoning for telling you not to use these techniques?
@iiparachuteregiment8800

@SamirSeif They had no reason, but it attracted Lot of attention from other students wanted learn this. So they failed me twice just to make an example of me. The next C+R is in July which I know they going to fail me. The C+R instructors are telling other students that these techniques are BS as I failed

Just a quick one here. I have been a doorman for a while and there seems to be no general guidance to breaking up a fight between non learned combatants. They seem to just grab and push etc. I have taken to just over powering them but can imagine the day I wont be able to do this. The club I was working in had a static guard policy, 1 doorman to 300 or so people. Was a nightmare so I left but am going back into it, if I face a similar situation do you have any suggestions? Just breaking up two or more individuals in i a push and shove match and getting them out the door before back up arrives if it does at all, Thank you in advance.

I work with a guy from England,and he says the same.The courses out there pressure for political correctness and court litigation.The stress is never the safety of the security guard.
