Security tactics lesson four demonstrates how to catch the hammer lock without someone assisting from the pummel .In this scenario we use distraction,to allow one guard to effectively communicate and distract,as the other guard uses minimum force to restrain the subject.

Can't is a swear! Thanks for making them. I have to teach co workers some techniques and I know them well, but the teaching aspect is what I need for this particular skill set and You made it available for free. I'm definitely not going to yell at everyone like a drill sergeant.

Samir, you should do more videos directly related to bouncer/security tactics and holds. I think that a lot of the techniques you show are great due to their simplicity. They've been a great help when I'm working concerts and clubs. BJJ is great and all, but if I were to try and pull most of those moves off at work I would get shit stomped into the dust.

Even tho this video is still old, I like taking them into what we call the "chicken wing" but I always did it a diffrent way wich gave me more difficulties and i needed my buddy to help me catch the other arm. Since the suspect had always 1 arm free to turn arround and strike me. This has been a great lesson for me, I wish I wouldnt but I sure i have to put this to use soon again.

When we walk someone agitated out we curl him from front facing him both sides and we walk him backwards so the one looses balance and cannot fight back. If he does I go with my free hand and put my fingers into the pressure points under the jaw bones both sides with the palm covering his mouth and forcing the head backward. If he is shaking his head kicking etc I put my fingers under his sternum and forcing the head back that way easy walk. Walking someone backward however needs team work and adjusted workflow. If I want to walk someone backward and my colleague doesn't know we are going to spin around the poor lad. :)

Surprised this move isn’t used in MMA, it’s not a small joint manipulation so it’s technically allowed

Does this have the potential to damage his shoulder as you escort him in that manner ?

Hi, been practicing your method a couple of weeks, but in an full porwer situation a stronger guy can turn away from the arm you're holding and burst out of the grip pretty easy. Works great if you're two. Do you have a solution or is it mainly a two person escorting method?
@SamirSeif
@SamirSeif 8 жыл бұрын
The cross grip is the solution. If your knifing the elbow crease with your palm facing inwards and pressing against oneself ,with a deep cross grip on the trap or neck..it's incredibly difficult to escape from
@SamirSeif

Escape comes when the fulcrum is not held tight against the body.There must be no space between the "catched" arm and ones body

Question sir, I am 5'7" and find that this tactic is somewhat difficult for me to properly "lock-in" on taller subjects. Any additional technique I could possibly add to gain better leverage and control?

I tried it but still seem to get out of it I think I’m doing It wrong. The only way I kept them from moving is I grab the wrist as well and add small pressure.
@SamirSeif
@SamirSeif 3 жыл бұрын
Your chest has to be tight against their back. The arm should be wedged between your bodies with no wiggle or turn around room.Ensure your elbow is moving upwards as your hand is knifing downwards.There is nothing wrong with using wrist pressure to add compliance.I’ve had to do that as well.
