Your videos have saved my backside more times then I count. I work security for night clubs in South Florida. I have also used your videos to train my old team on proper technique. Even included links and references in my security plan. Thank you.

good job and technique. I dont often get into trouble spots but as a thirty year plus MA and self defense and a senior. As we know the law has changed for seniors all that is needed is threat and action to commit a felony. even a minor action. i use hand grapple techniques with seniors and children I teach. Always use a new one or better one. TY very much....

What you just said blows my mind. From all the MMA guys I've come across they all laugh at weirdly locks and traditional martial arts. You are saying someone has found a way to use them effectively in MMA?

Is size going to be a problem if I learn some of these techniques? I'm a smaller guy - but i'm a fast!
@SamirSeif
@SamirSeif 8 жыл бұрын
Size must be considered in all choices of locks and holds.Theoretically if done perfectly,one will negate size and strength.But we all know confrontation never goes down perfect.

I WAS WONDERING IF YOU CAN DO A VIDEO FOR SITUATIONS WHERE THE BOUNCER IS WORKING ALONE WITH NO PARTNER. I HAVE WORKED AS A BOUNCER/DOORMAN IN NJ. THE SMALL BARS AND RESTAURANTS WITH A BAR ONLY WILL HAVE THE BOUNCERS WORKING ALONE. EVEN ON A BUSY WEEKENDS AND BUSY NIGHTS. THE PLACES I HAVE WORKED AS A BOUNCER IN NJ HAVE NO CONCERN AT ALL ABOUT YOUR PERSONAL SAFETY. BUT YET WHEN A SITUATION ARISES THEY EXPECT YOU TO BE ABLE TO HANDLE A GROUP OF GUYS ON YOUR OWN.

+Chris M. I did that for a year in Niagara Falls. Get to know everyone in that bar. Be the friendly nice guy and chat it up with everyone. Once you have the regular's respect tap a shoulder or two if you need to address a situation so you know you have someone at your back. The ideal is not to work those type of bars if you don't feel comfortable with your owners or clientele. Hopefully you have moved on to a safer environment since you posted this. Good luck.

@Samir Seif Hey,My name is Jake and I am just inquiring about the techniques that are shown here...Do you show the people counters on the locks? And also,what exacly is Goshin Ryu?....Excellent video man! Keep it up!
@SamirSeif

Goshin is the Japanese term for self defense or combatives Goshin therefore is the type or style or even going further family (Ryu) of jiujitsu that aims at teaching the technique (Jitsu )of war.Seif is my family name that in 2010 was accepted as a distinct style of theory and teaching that further separated my Goshin Ryu system from others baring similar names.Goshin Ryu Seif and the root word further more indicating the type of martial art Jiu Jitsu. Jiu(pliable/willowy/adaptable) and Jitsu (technique or method). Samir's Combat Reaction therefore in Japanese martial arts terminology :GOSHIN RYU SEIF JIU JITSU. Thank you for supporting my videos:)

Is it acceptable to utilize a wristlock when the guy's other hand is free and able to hit you?
@vancityband6577
@vancityband6577 4 жыл бұрын
If a wristlock is applied correctly, the other guy would be in too much pain to be trying to hit you. He'd be trying to relieve the pressure on the wrist by trying to get out of the wristlock or complying with instructions. Based on your comment, I don't think you've practiced being the recipient of a cinched-in wristlock.

This looks very like Aikido. The chances of someone offering an open limp hand are very, very slim. Can you show us something where someone is actually resisting... I work security myself and am a lifelong martial artist. I can’t see this working on a “live opponent”

Please Samir, don't confuse "Accurate Techniques for Manager Security" with "Martial Arts". Of course, if you just apply "Wrist Locks" for controlling a huge angry man is really a huge mistake. Despite that, i'm 5 feet and 5 inches tall and 150 pounds; my last martial arts partner is your high and weight: in standing combat(aikido) or in floor combat(BJJ) I could perfectly apply those techniques you show isolate and static.
@SamirSeif
@SamirSeif 10 жыл бұрын
Yes,i agree.Perhaps you misunderstood my intent.The wrist lock applied on its own without preemptive striking,or softening techniques,also known as disruption would not be very efficient,nor very successful.I observe martial arts classic teaching modules,and find them very unrealistic and a waste of time to be taught and practiced in that form.Wrist locks from rolling and sparring are very effective.It is known as mao de vaca(the cows hand)in bjj and as kote hineri in classical jiu jitsu.I myself teach wristlocks to guards as a transitional tool to easier and bigger joints to lock.|I was not saying you cannot use wrist locks,i was simply saying wrist locks taught in the classical method for security guards is not effective.
