Infosec is broad, but most people call is GRC... Government risk and compliance area. If you work in a bank or some establishment, they tag you information security officer... But youd be doing GRC related stuff, handling security policies, etc

Yes you can learn Cybersecurity and get a job... This is the best time and since you said you are a student. It's easier for you to land a job if you amass yourself with the right knowledge and skill. As for the role AI will play in cybersecurity... It will be huge and positive, you just have to work on seeing how AI is useful in cybersecurity and working towards improving your knowledge in that... That's the only way to be relevant and land good job in cybersecurity.
