Trying to process all that arises in me, as I watch this video... I've fallen in love with a man. I don't know what his feelings are for me? But he clearly doesn't love me: like I love him... And that leaves me full of shame... I'm 42 and have never been in a relationship... I have no friends. No career. No money. No love. No nothing. And I'm old now. I'm a complete utter total failure. And I die in the shame and grief and rage of it all...

Arno Knoester you have to start by forgiving yourself and know that you didn’t do anything wrong. Try everyday a little to love the guy in the mirror. Then try to forgive the abuser. I hope you find peace 🙏🏾

I do not know how to let this go. I recently came across these vile animal abusers who mutilate, torture and kill innocent animals (puppies, cats, hamsters) Not only do they inflict harm upon innocent life but proceed to record and upload the videos online. They seem to take SADISTIC pleasure in this abominable activity. How can people like this exist? I don't understand. How can someone like this be "whole, complete and perfect?" Those poor animals cannot even defend themselves. I don't see the "light" in this, only darkness. Can you help?

Dancing with our own shadows allows for us to experience our vile nature. Thus when we are encountered with evil we have some understanding that we too have capacity for this. It may not be in the torturing of animals but it could be for something else just as vile. Hale is not advocating blind love but the acceptance of our emotional charges around challenging issues. Allowing those emotions to exist but also helping us to let them go because they become toxic friends if we do not.
