Tour a Gorgeous NYC Duplex apartment in NYC by Central Park on Manhattan’s Upper West Side with 2 Floors! This place is an absolute Jaw Dropper because its got 2x the space youd expect, and its by the biggest park in New york city! My only complaint with this New York City apartment is that there wasn’t an elevator, but when I got to the top floor it was totally worth the hike because this place gets slammed with sunlight. There’s also laundry and a dishwasher, 2 things most “affordable” apartments dont have. Would you rent this 2 floor Central Park Apartment??

I definitely love this one! I'm in Toronto, Canada in a very quiet and super clean artists' co-op and the lofts we have are like this...with the separate entrance on each floor, which makes moving in or out a whole lot easier as there is an elevator. If one is of certain vintage and doesn't feel like climbing the stairs to get to their bedroom. Just go out the main entrance downstairs (don't forget to lock it behind you ofcourse..lol), take the elevator up to the next floor and re-enter your loft from there. Voila! I'm waiting for one to come available but it's going to be a few years yet...sigh. Oh, and the washroom is also on the second floor just like this one. Twenty minutes from downtown if you drive, great amenities and a waterfront trail bike path that goes all the way there and beyond as well. If I wanted to live in the US, this pad would definitely do it for me, I must say.

@@sueweatherby6123 It's a beauty all right, but I'll pass..I like where I am. And hoofing it up the stairs wouldn't be so bad...keeps you in shape, I'd say. But I see your point if you're going up thpse stairs with a heavy load or moving furniture..yikes! Howver, in my post, I was just decribing the ones we we have in the building where I live that I'm a waitlist for.

Yo I live around the corner! It’s really fun to finally see my neighborhood on the channel. Manhattan Valley is a hidden gem between the Upper West Side and Harlem. Def underrated as you say. Rents are soooo much cheaper than any place below 96th street, but we still have all the conveniences of the upper west side a few subway stops down, and all the convinces of Harlem a few subway stops up. Plus the neighborhood itself has great restaurants as you showed. SheShe Pizza is the best!

Okay --yes, this is a great apartment. I would love living there. My only concern is that the rate would go sky-high after New York City returns to "normal." I can't imagine this space would rent so cheaply then. This would be great for a couple. That area with that elevated shelf upstairs is perfect for an office --the shelf could hold books and things that you likely would need for a home office. Plus if a couple shared this place --plenty of room to get away and have private time from each other --especially while pandemic continues. Great place, Cash. (As an aside --funny comment of how to keep busy on a Friday night!)

The neighborhood has changed so much in the last 10 years. Much safer, and much more to do. The architecture up there is gorgeous. 20 years ago I looked at an entire brownstone - totally restored and beautiful for $1400. It was very close to 110 and lenox. Right by the park. To this day I wish i had taken it but back then it was not a safe place after dark. Would love to know how much they get for it now...

I grew up in that neighborhood. If you thought 10 years ago was bad, you wouldn't have survived the 70's. I still miss that place. Even with crime it was still a gem. My father was offered to buy the building we lived in, and he declined. Sad, because it would have been a lucrative deal.

Lots of space in this one, far better than most NYC one-bedroom apartments. Good kitchen with potential dining space, big living room, enormous bedroom, and plenty of closets. Laundry in the basement and a/c cutouts take care of two of my usual concerns. The location also checks almost all my boxes. The bathroom off the bedroom is mostly a plus - just don't give your guests more than one drink... ;-). This place is appropriately priced.

How far is this from the university? I could see 2 students sharing this. Get a bookcase, or Ikea Kallax, and create a visual block at the top of the stairs, so that you have a tiny “hallway” from the stairs to the bathroom. This allows you to still create a bedroom with desk area, but still allows people to have access to the bathroom without invading privacy. On the main floor, use a futon, or pullout sofa in the living room, put a desk in the “dining area”. You can still have an eating area, just do a smaller table, and push it against the wall when not using it.

6:54 - I think a wall separating the bedroom area and the closets would be beneficial. It would section off areas and then guests who do need to use the restroom don't have to walk directly into the bedroom. But a 1/2 bath on the 1st floor would have completed this place, and perhaps a little outdoor space too.

I don't understand why so few NYC apts have laundry in the unit. When you use a building's facilities, you have to pay for each wash/dry, plus it's so inconvenient. There's nothing better than to be able to do laundry any time of day or night without leaving your home. After having lived with laundry in my place, I would *NEVER, EVER* move to another home without laundry in the unit. These landlords should be putting laundry in the units to attract more renters. I'd rather have a place that's a bit dated but has laundry, than a new place without it.

Not that i don't trust but people trampling through my bedroom where i keep my jewelry and assorted private things to use my bathroom would bother me. It might be a deal breaker. Bookcases at the head of the stairs might help. Those two levels at top of stair case next to where you would put a home office would be great for oversized pots with some big plants to add some greenery and a bit of nature. Also a good place for large framed mirrors to add even more natural light up there. Extended section in down stairs closet would hold luggage and a bike.

You already pointed out one downside of the apartment, which is the upstairs bathroom. But since its only one bathroom, I'd rather have it upstairs. Other than that, it seems like a comfortable living space & I like the neighborhood.

This is a very nice apartment. The area has a lot of amenities in addition to being near the park. It's a good size with a good layout. It's too bad a small two piece bathroom couldn't have been squeezed in downstairs, but that might cramp the area too much. The rent is fair for the size, too.

You can’t make it a shrine to your god if you’re Buddha. It’s disrespectful to him to point your feet towards him

So far this is my favorite apartment I’ve seen on your channel! I’d pay out the wazoo to live in an NYC apartment for the charm alone, and this one takes the cake. I don’t see how anyone would move out of there

Central Park is not the biggest park in New York prospect park in Brooklyn and Pelham bay in the Bronx are both larger

I would totally rent this apartment. But I live in Canada. The commute would be a killer.

this was my first neighborhood in the city--you walked right by my first place! Its an amazing spot. That farmers market is THE BEST. Only left because we had electric heat that cost $700 a month in the winter yikes

That is really nice and the rent is ridiculously low for an apartment like that in Manhattan near Central Park.
