Luckily She can get medical for herself and the kids through TRICARE and she would be getting a monthly DIC. But that does not pay the bills much. My DIC is only about 2 grand a month. She would get more having two kids but still thats not much in this day and age.

@@spiritchaser0071 Probably not for the 2nd child, unless he was adopted by the deceased member of the military, but since he was killed before the 2nd child was born, then no, I don't think the 2nd child would be technically covered under TRICARE or get any money as a survivor.

No. Only children and adopted children. But the woman will receive money for herself for the rest of her life unless she remarries before the age of 57. She will receive money for the child until they are 18 (21 if they are going to college). She will receive free medical through TRICARE until she reaches the age of 65. Then she will have to show proof of Medicare Part B. After that her medicare becomes her primary insurance and her TRICARE becomes her secondary insurance. The huge advantage to this is that she would never see a Doctors bill. At least I never have. Even after two surgeries for breast cancer. Medicare and TRICARE paid for everything.

I immediately closed my account when I found the two checks I wrote to a friend had to pay a fee to cash the checks 🤬 because he didn't have an account with Wells Fargo. Yes, he took the checks to a Wells Fargo Bank to cash them.
