You never have to apologise for making mistakes or for what you, and only you see as not your best work. Those of us who have travelled along with you the past few years, see all you are capable of, your honesty in admiting not everything turns out as planned is to be admired. Take care and keep on making us all happy with your humor and skill.

Always great to watching and listen to you turning. Even if you have a flying bowl. You showed a perfect way to salvage what some would have tossed. Cute little almost birds mouth bowl. I could see a little bird waiting for that worm. Speaking of little birds one flew into our front window yesterday. I went out and picked it up and held it till it was ready to try and fly away. And it did...felt pretty good to help the little guy. Happy you are almost done with your treatments and hoping your strength comes back soon. Take care, Gary

I'm with you Phil, looks like a bird's mouth to me! Very cute Bowl. I love the way the bark goes all the way to the bottom, you don't see that very often. I like the way you keep us up to date on what's going on even though I'm sure it's a bit uncomfortable for you. But, you mean as much to us as we mean to you and probably more. Two more rounds, you're almost done! Keep the positive attitude and keep on laughing. You had me cracking up at the end! I needed that...

Phil, I've been where you are. Lost my Terry in April of 2019, then followed that with a breast cancer dx that December. 5 months of chemo, some side effects that had to be worked through. Then surgery and radiation till January of 2021. It was a trip I'd rather not have taken, but I feel like I'm a stronger person for having done it. Hang in there and keep on turning!

Phil, actually this is one of your better videos. I see things beyond the bowl. Things like changing course when circumstances change, adapting different techniques when needed, patience and perseverance. Because of the above I love this bowl. Phil, my mom in India, in the fifties, had a rose wood bowl almost the same size and shape. She put oil in it with a wick and used it as a lamp under her dad's picture as a sign to honor and remember him. Thx for another gem Phil.

Always happy to see your posts every week Phil. You are truly a humble man. Your "mistakes" are better than a lot of our best. Can't tell you how many times I've turned something and then said "why didn't I think of that" like marking the center. And every time I go to turn I hear your voice saying "mask and face shield on". Phil you are a true treasure. Keep on keeping on my friend.

Hi Phil, nice to see even experts turn “Bird Wood” that flies off the lathe! Very nice small birds mouth bowl. Question - how long do you microwave the wood to kill the little critters? When I saw you cutting that recess, I'm thinking, "Oh Phil, that needs a tenon." But it turned out really cute. I love the wood and the bug holes. Yes, I liked the video. Take care Phil. You are fun to watch.

Hi Phil. I stumbled upon your you tube page a while back and have been addicted ever since. In keeping with your request regarding the cancer and your offering of smaller projects I completely understand. Having been down a similar path I am impressed that you have the energy to continue your output at all. Well done you, and may you know complete healing soon.
